Introductory information
A fast induction on the buyer’s organisation
My structure is Webinar Ninja, we’re a webinar platform for little businesses. I’m the co-establisher and CEO.
Desired goal
What challenge were you trying to address with Fively?
We needed more backend outgrowth. So, we needed educeers who were well-versed in PHP.
Provided solution
What particular tasks were Fively responsible for?
They’ve made sure that they maintain the code, fixed bugs, as well as educe new features for us. We did a total rehaul on our automated webinar method. We wanted to propose more functionality in provisions of more availability for dates and times, creating on-demand features, being able to upload straightly to the platform, as well as botch replays.
We also did a total bunch of optimizations to increase website despatch, and reexplain bugs on the user side. We recently worked on an on-website registration to allow users to register on their own website for their webinars through a registration form.
We used PHP and JavaScript. They also worked closely with our frontend educeers.
Was there a dedicated team?
We worked with two backend educeers.
How did you come to work with Fively?
Our CTO did the hiring, I believe they had an online ad on a job posting website. We went through an colloquy process and establish them to be the most fitted candidates.
What is the terminal result of working with Fively?
We began in October 2019 and it’s ongoing.
Results achieved
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the contact of the engagement?
The condition of their code is well-commented and was tested precedently it was released to our clients. One educeer, in particular, volunteered to work on things they’re proficient in and work outside their job description.
How did Fively accomplish from a project treatment standpoint?
They’ve worked well with our existing team members. Our total team is distant, so we value clear interaction. We do a daily distant standup. We used Jira to track where they were in the project and Basecamp and Slack for team interaction.
They could pivot and change course at a instant’s notice if we needed to centre on something. They’ve been veritably pliant. It’s just like they’re one of our team members —they’re on board and they adjoin very well. They’re dedicated to the software and our clients.
They always show up to meetings, I was verity excellently surprised with their interaction experiences. They have big English experiences despite being an overseas team. They’ve always put in extra time to fulfill a deadline, so they’re very committed. It’s one of the best experiences I’ve had with a vendor.
What is (from your point of view) the key factor to pay observation while intercourse with Fively?
Both the backend educeers had to jump into preexisting code that wasn’t well documented. Then they had to fix bugs and it was very hard to do without breaking anything. With minimal teaching, they were able to come up to despatch.
What aspects of their work would you like to get improved?
I don’t veritably ponder there’s an area for advancement,
Do you have any advice for possible clients?
Make sure you give them sufficient autonomy to explain the issue. I conversant to give them the outcomes that we’re looking for, and they’ll come up with the solutions.
