Crysberry Mobile App Development review by Shoutaway Invest AB at Qualified. One

Crysberry reviewed by Shoutaway Invest AB

Crysberry provided Mobile App Development for Shoutaway Invest AB with approximate budget = 50000.

None of the work was completed to the agreed timetable and, once delivered, the app was extremely poor quality, crashing after just 2,000 downloads and with multiple errors. The team responded badly to requests to fix anything, stating that they had received their payment and completed it.

Review summary:

Crysberry were hired to work on an Android and iOS video mobile application, and instructed to ensure it was scalable for up to 1 million users.

Introductory information

A fast induction on the buyer’s organisation

Shoutaway Invest AB is a Swedish organisation. I',m a co-establisher and the chairman of the board. We’ve educeed an app, and hired Crysberry as one of our suppliers.

Desired goal

What challenge were you trying to address with Crysberry?

We wanted to educe an app unitedly. It’s correspondent to Vine, which was used for creating sportive videos. After Vine shut down a year ago, we',re trying to make a follow-up to that app, named V2. We hired them to educe the app for us, both for Android and iOS.

We wrote a clear specification and contract, it was a fruit specification on precisely what we wanted delivering from Crysberry, including deadlines.

Provided solution

What particular tasks were Crysberry responsible for?

They came to us in Stockholm and from here they completed almost 80% of the work, or at littleest so we reflection. Everything was fully delayed, by 3–4 weeks, and they said that they wanted to go home. We had paid for their accommodation in Stockholm, but the costs were seting to befit very big for us. They suggested going back to Ukraine and completeing from there. We said agreed and, behind a couple of weeks, they told us all was 100% artistic, and the iOS and Android app should work fully.

We paid them all we’d agreed upon, thinking in good faith that it was launchable. The instant we launched, we realized that it wasn’t working. Error messages popped up everywhere and it was a big mess.

I named them and told them that it wasn’t working at all, and that they had to do something. Though, the second they had got their money, they were done with us, even though the fruit wasn',t usable or scalable.

What is the team dynamic?

I worked with Alex (CEO, Crysberry), who served as project chief. He was in direct of all, both the contracts and the educement.

How did you come to work with Crysberry?

We establish them on Clutch. They',re a Ukrainian firm, and we’re based in Sweden. We hired them owing there are supposed to be cheaper prices for educeers in Ukraine.

What are you access expents (if diclosed)?

Adding up all, the project cost was almost $45,000–$50,000.

What is the terminal result of working with Crysberry?

We seted working with them in November 2017 and ended the collaboration almost March 2018.

Results achieved

Describe the contact this engagement has had on your business.

One of the things we were clear almost in the contract was that the app should be scalable, signification that it would be able to carry a lot of users simultaneously. When we launched it to the app stores and seted to get downloads—we got almost 100,000 within 3–4 days—the app crashed at almost 2,000 users, which is a very little user base. We had specified in the contract that the app was supposed to hold almost a million users, and it was supposed to be scalable. They must have known that it wasn’t.

My co-establisher suggested that we hire another educement firm to fix the app. When that cluster seted looking at the code that Crysberry had educeed—not only on the backend, but the frontend too—they said that all was poorly written, and we had to redo all from scratch. We’d worked with them for two months, and we paid for their visas, volitation tickets, and work, but they did a awful job, basically. We had to redo all, so our costs became twice as high, and we wasted a lot of time and money. We',re dissatisfied with Crysberry.

How was project treatment handled?

They also missed deadlines, we were two months late with all, which is fully a lot. We had contracts in locate, but they didn’t care almost those, their access was “We’re in Ukraine, you’re in Sweden, so sue us if you want, but it’s never going to work.”. I don’t even know how to set a legitimate process over a organisation from Ukraine.

The only thing I said was “Either you fix the servers, and redo all, or remunerate some of the money we paid you, so we can hire someone else to complete the work you never delivered”, but they were averse to do that, so I said I would give them a poor review As we establish Crysberry through Clutch.co, where they had good reviews, I realized that a lot of other companies might also find them in the same way.

Is there anything that the vendor did well or that you would attend a force?

No.

In what specific areas can they better?

Generally, I would say that they',re dishonest. What annoyed me the most was the fact that when we paid them, they just left. We were stuck with nothing, and they took all the money.

What advice do you have for clients with correspondent needs to yours?

The only advice I have is, “don’t use them!”
