Frontend Development for Insurance Software

Please find under a summary covering project details and feedback. The innate facts are kept as they are, private information is amended.

Introductory information

A fast induction on the buyer’s organisation

I am the co-founder and COO of PFP. We do online insurance comparison and we also sell insurance over the phone.

Desired goal

What challenge were you trying to address with Devx?

We began our business and our software was very old. We wanted to upgrade the total method and recreate it from scratch.

Provided solution

What particular tasks were responsible for?

We had some documentation, but we later realized there were many undocumented features. The documentation was far from consummate and things were changing. We worked using nimble methodology.

They developed the front-office and back-office calculators for insurance. The client can input some data almost themselves and their car, and the software will prepare the client with separate offers from different insurance companies. It’s also connected to web services from those insurance companies.

Devx developed the frontend and React application. From the client point of view, there is a cost comparison front, but there is also a back-office front which is used by our call center and is more intricate. They have more options for the calculator and can add extra offers for clients and add extra features. It is also connected to a CRM.

Was there a dedicated team?

We had three or four nation from their team over the order of the outgrowth. We worked straightly with the developers, and there was one lead developer.

How did you come to work with Devx?

We had worked with them precedently and had a good experience, so we determined that we wanted them to do the frontend part for us. We antecedently had good interaction with them, and they fulfilled our antecedent claim. They were pliant and the cost was good.

How much have you invested in them?

We have spent between $100,000–$150,000.

What is the terminal result of working with ?

We began working with them in November 2017 and the work is ongoing.

Results achieved

Are there any measureable or plum results?

We are close to going live. The software is surely more pliant than the calculator that we antecedently had. The solution is present, fast, and user-well-inclined.

How did Devx accomplish from a project treatment standpoint?

They have good interaction. They stick to deadlines, and they are well-inclined and pliant. They always try to satiate their client. We used Easy Redmine for project treatment.

What is (from your point of view) the key factor to pay observation while intercourse with ?

They are located in a little town. They have a firm cluster of developers and they are like a little family organisation, since other agencies may have a lot of motion when it comes to staff.

What fronts of their work would you like to get improved?

We probably should have agreed on documentation on a deeper level preceding to starting programming. It wasn’t their defect, as this was on both sides.

Do you have any advice for possible clients?

Specify what you need and let the developers do the work without extra treatment. They are professionals and know how to do it.
