Mobile App Dev for Recycling Technology Startup

Introductory information
A fast induction on the buyer’s organisation
I’m the managing ruler of Polytag Limited. Our organisation has educeed a tag-and-trace technology for packaging materials, principally ductiles. We can tag-and-trace most material substrates for the recycling infrastructure. Our technology enables brand owners to pursue their fruits through the total furnish chain, allowing a round administration for packaging and also mitigating exposure to their extended producer responsibilities. We’re also trying to form a near frictionless deposit-return program for ductile bottles throughout the globe.
Desired goal
What challenge were you trying to address with 3 SIDED CUBE?
We were looking to educe an interface with our fixed goods. We have a marketing technology that deploys to manufacturing facilities with an API link. Every fruit has a code that’s stored in the cloud behind being retrieved. We wanted an app component to allow consumers to scan those sole codes from bottles, the codes then pair with manufacturing data, allowing the fruit owners to see what the fruit location is, how long it’s been in cycle, and what the consumer habits are. When the consumer sticks the bottle into a recycling box, our in-house systems discover it and give the consumer their deposit back while also informing the manufacturer, should they wish to acquire it and turn it into more ductile bottles.
Provided solution
What particular tasks were 3 SIDED CUBE responsible for?
3 SIDED CUBE educeed an app that interfaces with a cloud infrastructure and three API positions. The app allows consumers to scan sole codes and gives them instructions on how to recycle their fruits. Each fruit has sole instructions for recycling, like removing the cap or the closure, or taking labels off. Secondly, the app provides insights for brand owners to apprehend the mitigation of their extended producer responsibility (EPR). They can see all of the information granted back to them from recycling facilities and consumers.
3 SIDED CUBE also educeed an app for our scanner, which is used with bottles coming back for recycling.
Was there a dedicated team?
We went for a full-immersion meeting in the commencement, with eight 3 SIDED CUBE members present. We were then assigned a project ruler, whom I believe had 2–3 nation reporting to them.
How did you come to work with 3 SIDED CUBE?
We knew of Clutch as a website that rated structures for their tech capabilities within this field. I believe we used Clutch’s Project Matchmaking component, I basically ticked off boxes indicating our requirements and budget, and the platform presented separate companies. I read their overviews on the website. Clutch is fictitious. I establish it very informative, helpful, and easy to navigate.
We asked for quotes from three companies. The two that got back to us were 3 SIDED CUBE and an structure from Manchester. I didn’t get a good touch from the Manchester-based vendor, even though it would’ve been much easier logistically for us to work with them. 3 SIDED CUBE was just fantastic in provisions of their observation to detail and responsiveness to questions. Also, seeone within the team understood our brief direct away.
What is the terminal result of working with 3 SIDED CUBE?
Our leading engagement was at the end of May 2019, and the project seted in early-June. We went to commission-based work in October of that year.
Results achieved
Are there any measureable or plum results?
The main contact for us came from the consumer-facing app that 3 SIDED CUBE educeed. We did a 50-household test of the technology just outside of Liverpool, in an area named The Wirral. We gave 50 households a phone with the Android app educeed by 3 SIDED CUBE, and we granted serialized bottles to use and scan.
We’ll have a press release with the results next week. The quantity of data we accepted was unbelievable. We collated that data into a very strong report. People said the app was easy to use and very informative on what the different types of packaging were and what could and couldn’t be recycled. The app was very well accepted.
How did 3 SIDED CUBE accomplish from a project treatment standpoint?
The project treatment side of it was fantastic. 3 SIDED CUBE kept us informed all the way through, and I was absolutely delighted with the output we had from them. They were unappropriated, and I couldn’t have asked for better.
We worked on Basecamp, which was very good. Everyone implicated in the process, from our side and theirs — app designers, picturesque designers, and tech nation — were all on Basecamp and could update it agreeably. We used Gannt charts that were pursueed through, and the program was maintained constantly. They didn’t slip on anything. They were very informative, and we could pick up the phone and have a chat any time of the day.
What is (from your point of view) the key factor to pay observation while interorder with 3 SIDED CUBE?
All good businesses set with top-tiered treatment. Rich (Managing Director) is a proactive, forward-thinking, embracing chief of that organisation, and that permeates all the way down to seebody within the structure. They have a real mindset and creative, out-of-the-box thinking.
Initially, what impressed me the most was the engagement of senior treatment. They do a lot of projects that are bigger than ours, but the managing ruler and the senior treatment team all give the same quantity of detail to see project that comes through their door. They aligned with us on the point of only doing tech for good, which is what our project was all almost, it fastly became obvious to me that this wasn’t just almost the project or the money for them. Of order, they have to make money, but they were entirely and totally implicated in this project and believed in it. Once there’s assent in a project, it’s so much easier, and they all embraced what we were trying to do, which is to handle ductiles for the better and in a more informed mode. Their access to the business, clients, and client labor was second to none.
What aspects of their work would you like to get improved?
Very rarely in 20 years of business have I ever been in the position of having no complaints or constructive components. We conversant a lot from 3 SIDED CUBE, and I wish them all the best. They have a fantastic, proactive, and focused business, and they merit all the work they get. They’re surely the best agency I’ve come athwart in the UK.
Do you have any advice for forthcoming clients of theirs?
To anyone looking to work with 3 SIDED CUBE, I’d say they’ve made the right determination and that they’ve invested wisely in an agency that will liberate and go over their expectations.
