Please find under a summary covering project details and feedback. The innate facts are kept as they are, private information is amended.
Introductory information
Please draw your structure.
Our platform puts corporations and institutions that have training needs in touch with academics. We have formd a marketplace for this area with the aim of alleviating the lack of transparency within it. We work remotely from Poland and Switzerland. Our business is based in Ireland and was began in October 2015.
What is your position?
I am a co-establisher and the general director of the organisation.
Desired goal
What business challenge were you trying to address with Code &, Pepper?
We needed to have our solution designed, developed, and launched. We don',t have the technical experiences here, so we were forced to associate with a outgrowth organisation.
Provided solution
Please draw the aim of their involvement.
Code &, Pepper have developed a web-based PHP application for my organisation. We are currently discussing whether or not to port it to another platform, like Ruby on Rails, in order to form a commercial rendering of it. They put unitedly a manner test rendering of my application in the order of three months.
Their team consisted of a project director, one developer, and one UI/UX [user interface/user experience] designer who was replaced during the project owing of poor accomplishment. We adjoin mainly using Slack.
How did you come to work with Code &, Pepper?
I establish them through a friend who was in touch with entrepreneurs at the university where he worked. One of those had evaluated a few different Polish developers for his start-up. He met with 12 companies and went through a request for offer process. I asked him almost a preparer that I could use and he mentioned Code &, Pepper. I researched them out of inquisitiveness and, when the need arose, I got in touch with them. The leading screening and condition check was done by someone whose advice I took.
Could you prepare a perception of the size of this start in financial provisions?
The total cost for our prototype was about $11,000.
What is the terminal result of working with ?
The leading phase of the project was completed in March 2016. I am going through a funding phase at the end of which I will decide whether to last my work with Code &, Pepper or not. I would like to work with them in the forthcoming.
Results achieved
Could you share any statistics or metrics from this engagement?
In general, their output condition was good. The only area in which there were delays was design. I wouldn',t justice them very hard in this respect owing this is typical for the Polish market. The design of a fruit also varies by country, depending on its target hearers. In our case, it was initially lacking in creativity. The second designer who worked on our project was much better. He gave us a bit of a delay, but it wasn',t expressive. Code &, Pepper was fast on suggesting a new personal for us. Their designer was an outside collaborator in any case.
How did Code &, Pepper accomplish from a project treatment standpoint?
We',ve discussed cost limits and accepted a detailed hourly sheet. Their fruitivity was broken down into personal resources and the tasks on which they worked. We have reached a ultimatum cost at the instant, but we will be discussing upcoming outgrowth phases.
Communication was done through Slack. It allowed us to drop notes in real time on our progress and take responses within minutes. We didn',t see the need for any heavier project treatment tools.
What distinguishes Code &, Pepper from other preparers?
I liked the fact that their two establishers are very different nation. One of them [Adam Pogorzelski] is in direct of business outgrowth. He knows how to convert the input I give to him from a business point of view to more technical requirements for his associate [Lukasz Korol]. Code &, Pepper would not office as well without the complementary experiences held by their principals. The interaction and follow-ups flow very well between us. The organisation is little sufficient to pay observation to us.
Is there anything Code &, Pepper could have improved or done differently?
In my conviction, the Slack interaction worked well, and I liked the technical part of our collaboration. If we decide to move forward with the next phase using them, the design part of the effort will need to be improved, though. The United States will be a big market for us, so we need to make sure that the app has the right feel. The effect is more cultural than technical. Overall, Code &, Pepper has been very answering to us. They',re always just a phone call away. Even though they',re only a 10- to 12-personal team, I believe that they have the power to grow.
