There were two main challenges with TEP: differentiate it from the competition and make the website’s imagery reflect what was the company’s offer. The experience had to match users’ expectations, avoiding the risks of being misunderstood for something it is not.
We’ve applied our Product Design Process at an early stage and provided all
the development expertise needed to implement further data-focused adjustments that TEP needed to achieve their business goals.Since its initial concept, the project relies heavy on a huge number of landing pages (targeted via google ads), a good checkout process and a flexible back-office to manage orders. We decided that Ruby on Rails was the best approach due to its balance between flexibility and reach. The product has been live and growing for several years.
