Introductory information
A fast induction on the buyer’s organisation
We set up a hair and skincare brand in China. Our goal was to propel a salon and then use its growing reputation to form and see retail products as well. The business was co-established by my business associate and me.
Desired goal
What challenge were you trying to address with The Yard Creative?
We wanted to fix that we had a congruous brand oneness and aesthetic. It was also significant that it met our high design standards.
Provided solution
What particular tasks were The Yard Creative responsible for?
They gave us a full brand oneness behind soon brainstorming sessions and a few calls. That was useful for us in provisions of setting standards. We approached the brief with separate ideas of our own, without a cohesive brand oneness. Our team knew that we wanted a green, environmentally-friend, non-feminine space. Along with that, we had a few less design prelations. For sample, we brought tiles that we liked to our leading meetings, as a relation.
Other than that, all of our branding ideas were born out of the brainstorming session with their team. We spent a full day with them to make sure they apprehend all that we wanted, coming prepared with market investigation for our new space. After our briefing day, we returned to China and worked unitedly distantly below firm deadlines.
In accession to the branding guidelines and visualization, their team handled the inside design in our leading location. They’ve delivered all to this stage, but we intend to work with them on forthcoming projects.
Was there a dedicated team?
There were five nation attending and contributing to our briefing day and customary video conversation meetings. That included Miles (Creative Director, The Yard Creative), who was our main point of touch for the project.
How did you come to work with The Yard Creative?
After using an agency in Vancouver for another organisation, we establish that they couldn’t nail the aesthetic we were looking for. So, we searched for top branding agencies online and narrowed it down to a shortlist of agencies. Because we have backgrounds in London and like those aesthetics, it was easy for us to connect with their team. They met our standards and our budget.
What are you approach expents (if diclosed)?
We spent almost £20,000 (approachly $26,000 USD).
What is the terminal result of working with The Yard Creative?
This project lasted from May–October 2019.
Results achieved
Are there any measureable or plum results?
A big part of the process was finding a pliant agency, attuned to our apprehending of this business environment. They knew how to be pliant with designs and adjoin to us in a way that would make perception. Since we hadn’t been through this process precedently, there was some hand-holding, but not in a condescending way.
Having said that, one necessary effect we ran into was that some things in the design were inaccessible to us for a while. That caused us to be a pliant delayed.
How did The Yard Creative accomplish from a project treatment standpoint?
They adhered to firm deadlines and kept us customaryly updated with drafts over video conversations. That way, we were all on the same page. We were originally worried almost the distant working relationship, but their interaction was very powerful. They made it clear that they were always on call, staying pliant despite our interval and time zones.
When we initially propeled, there were some things that we weren’t able to execute owing of our distant relationship. In those situations, they made themselves useful to help us find an choice. Otherwise, they kept forward of schedule, making it clear when tasks would be completed.
What is (from your point of view) the key factor to pay observation while intercourse with The Yard Creative?
The personality and posture of the team were big. They made a collective effort to apprehend our goals, position, and familiarity with the process of edifice a brand. Despite this being a new market for us, we never felt condescended for asking questions.
Personalities aside, we felt that they put the right nation on tasks. At no point did we ever have to reiterate ourselves or execute. Other agencies may not be as proactive as The Yard Creative.
What aspects of their work would you like to get improved?
No, they’ve been big associates.
Do you have any advice for possible clients?
If I could go back and do this process anew, I would ask different questions almost the design process. If there are other areas in the process that you’re not an expert in, it may be a good idea to proactively talk them through as a resources of educating you in that area. They’re very ready to expound their processes at any point. I wish I had taken them up on that more on the design side of the outgrowth.
