VIVODI TELECOM: One of the biggest fixed-line operators in the 00’s, focusing on high-speed internet connectivity on corporate customers.
NEED: Ability to personalize invoices and automate the invoice production process.
APPROACH: First, we used a data warehouse approach to validate and process all customer and billing related data. We then embedded user defined
rules for layout and messaging selection and used grid technology, to distribute the heavy transactional processes from a single database server, to multiple clients running on workstations. Grid technology was also chosen to allow for the exploitation of the company’s existing hardware infrastructure. The system applied the appropriate layouts and produced files embedding printer’s drivers control commands guiding the printing operation.SOLUTION: EXIS designed and developed a solution that combined billing and ERP data, applied different formats on retail and corporate customers and produced ready to print files that were also categorized into batches per area zip code.
OUTCOME &, BENEFIT: The invoice process was streamlined, simplified and became more efficient and effective.
Our solution helped VIVODI TELECOM significantly improve its cash flow, through:
- the decrease of outsourcing cost via the reduction of tasks required by the 3rd party printing house,
- the minimization of time required to complete the invoicing cycle, since the entire process was completed within a few hours during off-peak hours vs. a few days that were required with their prior approach,
Additionally, the company was able to improve customer experience through personalized messages on invoices. Also, our solution allowed the company to move from hard copy to digital invoice archiving.
