TELEDOME: One of the biggest fixed-line operators in the 00’s.
NEED: Ability to maximize their revenues by fully exploiting the discounts and special prices they were offered by national and international network provides.
APPROACH: We prioritized TELEDOME’s needs and implemented independent software modules per need. We embedded a rule-based engine and a
workflow designer mechanism providing users the flexibility to integrate business requirements and reconfigure frequently changing business processes.SOLUTION: EXIS designed and developed a Call Detail Record (CDR) Analyzer that interfaced with network elements, gathered and analyzed network traffic data and applied optimal network routing algorithms.
OUTCOME &, BENEFIT: We delivered a software solution able to support mapping of routes, prefixes and interconnection providers. Specific prefix parsing methodology was used to identify the source and destinations of routes. Costs per route and per interconnect provider were defined and the solution was able to assist in traffic routing management and in least cost routing operations.
Users were provided a tool:
- communicating with all network elements,
- with a friendly user interface to map destination and source prefixes,
- supporting sophisticated algorithms to analyze network traffic information,
- performing least cost routing operations by combining routes with interconnect partners’ charges.
EXIS’s CDR Analyzer allowed TELEDOME to:
- maximize network utilization,
- minimize interconnection costs,
- negotiate more profitable deals with interconnection providers,
- monitor efficiency of network usage with daily traffic reports.
