Please find under a summary covering project details and feedback. The innate facts are kept as they are, private information is amended.
Introductory information
A fast induction on the buyer’s organisation
I’m the senior software constructor for an online learning platform.
Desired goal
What challenge were you trying to address with Netguru?
We purchased our learning treatment method (LMS) based in Ruby on Rails, which is more hard to find genius onshore for. We have no inner outgrowth staff, so it had to be outsourced.
Provided solution
What particular tasks were Netguru responsible for?
They developed separate features, including an nimble status, which what a student goes through from onboarding until they set taking their leading order. They’ve also implemented workflows and done a plethora of bug fixes, both visually in the UI and programmatically in the services.
They do livelihood and corrections to our data itself. We’re going to be moving onto an entirely new platform and will be hiring in-house staff and onshore consulting. While we’re doing that, Netguru will nimblely maintain and liberate fixes and features on the legacy application.
What is the team compound?
Most of my interaction with them is through the project director or their technical lead.
How did you come to work with Netguru?
I inherited them. Their expertness set isn’t very ordinary anymore, but it was probably one of the reasons my boss had chosen them—they specialize in Ruby on Rails outgrowth.
What is the terminal result of working with Netguru?
We seted working unitedly in 2017 and it’s quiet ongoing.
Results achieved
Are there any measureable or plum results?
I’m very pleased with what they do. I’ve worked with other offshore teams and Netguru is surely the best I’ve worked with.
How did Netguru accomplish from a project treatment standpoint?
We have two weekly calls, with ad hoc calls once in a while. I also have an open line for 30 minutes see morning for emergencies, which we rarely use. We use Jira, but most of our document sharing is done via Google Drive.
I bounce ideas off the tech lead who surely knows what he’s doing. They address on any issues immediately—anything that’s nice, even off hours, they’re right on it and working on it.
What is (from your point of view) the key factor to pay observation while intercourse with Netguru?
Their project director is astounding and is constantly trying to better her team. I’d commend her to anybody. They’re constantly tweaking their inner process to make it more efficient, nimble, and to suit our need.
They have excellent attitudes and our tech lead is astounding too. You don’t frequently find companies that are able to keep someone at that technical level. We had an onwebsite visit to them a couple months ago. They’re super nice, very welcoming, and always very open-minded almost changes or doing things in a different way.
What aspects of their work would you like to get betterd?
There’s been a expressive quantity of change on their team. They have a practice of rotating juniors. Though they always ask precedently they do and don’t direct us, sometimes it takes time away from senior resources. For the most part, we’re lucky with what they’re doing and most of our concerns simply have to do with the essence of offshore outgrowth.
With any offshore genius, there’s always time zone challenges owing of coordination and logistics. Any delays weren’t their defect though, as the legacy application was extremely poorly written. Most of their efforts implicated correcting issues that already existed or trying to apprehend what a antecedent developer had done unfit.
Do you have any advice for possible clients?
Try to apprehend your needs and make sure that Netguru fits them. They’re strictly a Ruby on Rails and Node.js house. As long as you apprehend that, I’d commend them.
