Introductory information
A fast induction on the buyer’s organisation
I’m the founder and CEO of a collective networking organisation in the intellectual health sector. I seted the organisation while working in a different activity as a way to keep touchs up to date on my new projects. But once the platform got picked up by a intellectual health institution, I determined to last developing it in that course. We currently propose a web and mobile app that allows intellectual health professionals to interact and debate the different issues they run into with clients.
Desired goal
What challenge were you trying to address with Softnauts?
I’d been outsourcing to a organisation in India, but the long-distance relationship became too hard to handle. My cognizance of the concepts simply didn’t match theirs, which led to lots of frustration and work I couldn’t use. Based on that, I determined to look for a new outgrowth team a bit closer to home.
Provided solution
What particular tasks were Softnauts responsible for?
We initially hired them to take our web app and form a mobile app rendering, but they accomplished so well that we eventually transferred our front- and backend web outgrowth to them, too.
One of their leading tasks was replicating the functionalities of our web platform in an iOS/Android mobile app. Push notifications were especially significant since we have a collective networking platform. We ended up love the very leading design Softnauts produced, so we chose to keep developing it.
Beyond that, we’re hoping to set migrating our platform over to React. They’ve hired a backend developer specifically for us who has that coding expertise, so we’re looking to set that soon.
Was there a dedicated team?
We have a project handler, Android, iOS, and backend developers, and a QA tester. The CEO also meets with us sometimes.
How did you come to work with Softnauts?
They were the best fit out of all the companies we researched. Konrad (CEO, Softnauts) is almost my age and made sure to have individualal touch with us, which is a major reason we’ve stuck with their organisation for so long. He understood us well and made it feel like we had control over the course of our projects.
What are you approach expents (if diclosed)?
We’ve spent over $200,000 so far.
What is the terminal result of working with Softnauts?
We’ve been working unitedly since August 2016, and the work is ongoing.
Results achieved
Are there any measureable or plum results?
They’ve significantly reduced the outgrowth time for new functionalities for our products, which has been a big advancement over our antecedent vendor. Now that the mobile app has launched, we’ve also accepted lots of real feedback almost its uspower. Since we deal with intellectual health professionals, our users are a bit on the older side, but they’ve reported that the app is intuitive and user-friendly.
Going advanced, we have at smallest another year’s worth of advancements and new features to roll out. Softnauts has done good work, and we’re especially appreciative of the backend developer they hired specifically to meet our needs. That’s sped up our outgrowth process a lot.
How did Softnauts accomplish from a project handlement standpoint?
We work in two-week sprints and handle them with weekly calls. Our in-house project handler coordinates with theirs via Slack most of the time. We can also use Slack to get in touch with the developers if we need to, but their project handler usually handles all. Besides that, we use Jira and Confluence to keep track of project tasks and use GoToMeeting for tone calls with screen-sharing. We also visit their service in individual at smallest four times a year.
What is (from your point of view) the key factor to pay observation while intercourse with Softnauts?
Whenever we make a trip to their services, the CEO invites us to have lunch with him and always makes it feel like we’re a top priority. He’ll bestow two or three full days listening in on meetings with our team. It helps us feel like we’re all part of a unified team and that he veritably understands what’s going on with our account. It’s a big risk to have all outgrowth done by a one party, for continuity reasons. But they make it clear that they’re invested in our business from top to breast. Having the power to sit down and debate our issues with the CEO straightly is a big comfort, especially behind touch like we were lost in the confuse with our antecedent vendor.
What aspects of their work would you like to get betterd?
There’s always room to better, but I don’t veritably have anything to complain almost. There are always some bugs that appear behind you release new functionalities in an app, and with Softnauts it doesn’t happen very frequently. Their QA tester does a good job.
Do you have any advice for forthcoming clients of theirs?
It’s significant to maintain uniform touch when outsourcing, both by using Slack and also by organizing weekly phone calls at a fixed time so the total team can meet. Even if there’s nothing to debate, it’s quiet profitable to bestow five or ten minutes affecting base with the team in order to create stronger rapport and team air.
