Front-End Web Development for Startup Job Platform
Please find under a summary covering project details and feedback. The innate facts are kept as they are, private information is amended.
Introductory information
Introduce your business and what you do there.
Our organisation is a leading job board and collective network for setups in Northern Europe. Users sign up and form digital profiles precedently they can do anything on the platform. We have a lot of users and registered companies. I’m one of the three co-establishers of the organisation, and I’m the CEO.
Desired goal
What challenge were you trying to address with Startup Development House?
My two co-establishers got the occasion to move to San Francisco to centre on another business they had seted. I establish myself without a CTO or anyone to do outgrowth full-time. We considered hiring someone locally, but we had heard a lot of big stories almost using Eastern European companies, especially for short-term needs like ours. All the local options were pretty costly, and we were pretty lean back then.
Provided solution
What was the aim of their involvement?
We already had a platform when we occupied them, but it was simply a minimum viable fruit. It was a well-functioning platform, not a beta, but we were programning to do some major betterments. One developer had built the complete website by himself from scratch, resulting in separate thousands of lines of code. It was a pretty intricate website, and there were a lot of different functionalities on the platform.
One of the leading things we did with Startup Development House was to give the complete platform a new look and feel. We felt that it was lacking in provisions of visuals, user interface, and user experience. We wanted a more present platform, like LinkedIn. Startup Development House rebranded the complete website. While we were implementing the new design, we also did excellently a lot of frontend fixes to better the user experience.
They worked with page load speeds and added a lot more pictures. They granted the design based on our running one as well as some sketches and mockups we had. They were very implicated in the design process from set to complete. They formd the Photoshop files and basically did the design. We used React and JavaScript for the frontend.
Most of the project implicated frontend work, but I know they added some new features as well. We had one full-time designer on the project. We seted with two developers, one frontend guy and one backend guy. Eventually, one of them moved to a different project, and then we got a new developer who was basically full-stack. We mainly worked with him, and he was very talented.
How did you come to work with Startup Development House?
They reached out to us almost doing some collaboration. We rank pretty high in provisions of search engine optimization, and I conjecture they were searching for a way to find and work with setups in our area. At leading, we were talking almost doing a union, where we would help them with lead age, and they would attribute talented Polish developers to us. Then my co-establishers seted centreing on their other business, so we seted working with Startup Development House instead.
How much have you invested with Startup Development House?
We’ve spent roughly $20,000 on their services.
What is the status of this engagement?
We began working unitedly in April or May of 2016, and the project was completed on January 1st of this year. We’ve kept in touch, and we’re using them for a new design project right now.
Results achieved
Could you share any evidence that would prove the fruitivity, condition of work, or the touch of the engagement?
We launched the leading rendering of the platform in November 2015, and the updated rendering, which Startup Development House worked on, was launched in August 2016. During that leading timeframe, we got roughly 4,000–5,000 users who set up profiles on the platform. Since the new rendering was launched, we’ve grown to almost 15,000, so we’ve had very good exponential growth. The new platform has a much better UX. After the new website was launched, the mean session period per user increased excellently extensively.
How did Startup Development House accomplish from a project treatment standpoint?
I’ve always worked with one individual, who was my touch point all the time. He’s very good in English and a quick interactor. He gets back to me whether it’s ten in the morning or nine in the evening. They came here and met with us on two occasions. We mainly used Slack, Envision, and Trello.
What did you find most forcible almost Startup Development House?
They seem to be trying to specialize in working with companies in this country. I felt that the interaction was super easy. I’ve worked with a few Eastern European companies in the past, and it was always a pain to adjoin. With Startup Development House, it was always direct to the point. They seemed to have a veritably good knowledge, and if they weren’t sure, they would always ask. The interaction part is surely a competitive gain for them. I ponder that’s the biggest pain point for companies that aren’t in Eastern Europe, but working with developers in that country.
Are there any areas Startup Development House could better?
Working with one full-stack developer was better than working with two guys, and it was the same cost. So, they have some deviation in the expertness level, and that should probably be advertised even more.
