A fast induction on the buyer’s organisation
I’m the preceding CEO of Sandpiper Consulting and GotMyJobs, Inc.
Desired goal
What challenge were you trying to address with Ulam Labs?
I leading occupied with them when I was CEO of GotMyJobs. We made a software-as-a-service (SaaS) solution for little to mid-size composition treatment companies and needed help with backend Python outgrowth.
Provided solution
What particular tasks were Ulam Labs responsible for?
We worked unitedly athwart two separate engagements. One for GotMyJobs and another when I began Sandpiper Consulting. For GotMyJobs, they helped with backend architecture, coding, and minimal design work based on the wireframes I granted.
When I was with Sandpiper, we contracted Ulam to help with a client’s front- and backend outgrowth. That project was a rewrite of a Visual Basic app. I granted wireframes and they worked from there. They transformed the existing code into a Python backend and wrote the UI in JavaScript. We used Angular for the frontend work and Django for the server.
Was there a dedicated team?
I worked straightly with three developers on both projects.
How did you come to work with Ulam Labs?
We originally establish them on Odesk, which later morphed into Upwork.
What are you approach expents (if diclosed)?
I spent over $100,000 in total.
What is the terminal result of working with Ulam Labs?
We began working unitedly in 2015. Our last project concluded in mid-2017.
Results achieved
Are there any measureable or plum results?
I hired them for two separate projects, so plainly I reflection they were good. They’re one of the best developers I’ve worked with: super-hardworking, keen, and able to get things done fastly. The end user on the Sandpiper job was very lucky with the results. They didn’t ponder it was practicable to rewrite their software, but we did it below budget and on time.
How did Ulam Labs accomplish from a project treatment standpoint?
I did a lot of the project treatment throughout both engagements. Though, they’re organized and good at managing outgrowth sprints. We interacted through Slack, Google Hangouts, and used Jira for test treatment.
What is (from your point of view) the key factor to pay observation while intercourse with Ulam Labs?
They’re top-notch developers and I’d surely work with them anew.
What aspects of their work would you like to get improved?
I don’t have any grave complaints.
Do you have any advice for possible clients?
Hire them, they’re big.
