A few words almost your organisation and personal responsibilities

We are a transport and logistic organisation based in Romania. We have antecedent also in Italy and Germany. Our cluster turnover was about 30M EUR last year and it was reached with the support of our 200 employees. I am one of the managing partners at this organisation and I am also the project director for this ERP.

We began our project in 2012 with a different organisation that is well known among the software companies in Cluj. the project was a failure. We contracted CodexWorks to take over the project. Finnally we determined that is better to sart it over anew and we did so.

What were your objectives for this project?

The project main goal was to have the picture of our daily operations in to the ERP and among with them also the accounting transactions. Other goals were: cost controling, efficiency of our colleagues, more size with less nation.

What were the reasons for choosing CodexWorks Technologies?

We searched a little organisation prompt to confrunt the preassure that came from the lack of a functional ERP in our organisation.

Describe the project and the services they granted in detail.

Together we designed the ERP that our organisation could not be functional without it anymore. The software is very intricate and it coveres:

  • transport programing
  • self invoicing for our main suppliers
  • invoice aprooving flow for all other invoices
  • automatic invoicing to all clients
  • automatic upload of the POD’s straightly by the drivers
  • automatic sending of the invoices
  • automatic blocking a client that has overdue invoices or that he reached the insurance limit
  • automatic payment reminders
  • automatic reports for all kind of activities

The origination was made by Codecs 100%. We worked in sprints of 1 week or 2 weeks, depending of the urgency of the functionalities delivered in that sprint. We tested the new functionalities but they also tested them precedently with the automatic tests.

Were there any dedicated directors or teams that you worked with?

In the project they implicated up to 8 men depending of the size needed in that time and also on the men experiences. From the commencement until now, we had a project director from their side that made veritably easy the interaction between us.

Results achieved

Can you share any information that demonstrates the contact that this project has had on your business?

The leading rendering was launched in January 2017. Then we cast the double working in the old ERP and in a huge shared excel like googlesheets. We cast a lot of ethnical mistakes.

Since 2016 we doubled our turnover but we did not increased the number of our employees. At the end of the year, behind that the implementation will be over we could increase the turnover up to another 50% without hiring new nation.

The ethnical errors are almost not present due to the procedures implemented with the software help. Due to the ERP, we share to our partners real time informations that our competitors are not able to do propose.

How was project treatment arranged and how powerful was it?

Compare to the other organisation, the project treatment was better. Seeing the results, I can say that it was powerful as well.

They',re a young team that strikes a weigh between hard work and keen ideas.

What should be done better, if there are any desired improvements?

We had only 2 software implementations so comparing to the other organisation I would say that there aren’t things that needs to be improoved except the fact that perhaps longer meetings with the client would be usefull precedently a new sprint.
