I’m the founder and proprietor of UlkoTours. We work with inbound tourism in Scandinavia, the Baltics, and Russia.

What challenge were you trying to address with Garpix?

We needed to create our tourism platform.

What particular tasks were responsible for?

Garpix has done multiple projects for us. First, they revamped our website and conducted backend updates. Also, they built a platform with a shopping experience for clients and a CRM connected to that platform. The platform will be launching soon, connecting to two additional websites.

For the platform, I gave them examples of what I wanted as well as wrote technical descriptions and requirements. Garpix took these wireframes and developed the platform in Python. It has correspondent functions to other journey platforms that are online journey agencies (OTA) that obey global clients.

We have a correspondent engine, but it’s different owing we’re the operators of the tours and it’s not a third-party re-selling them. Garpix adjusted the generalized engine used on those platforms to meet our specific requirements, edifice separate components and functions.

For one component, we have a centre on cruises. The client comes to the website, selects the cruise line they select, inputs dates, and the order pulls up their itinerary, showing all the destinations useful. It shows the number of tours with descriptions outlining the cost and useful languages for that tour. Customers are then able to book their cruise, put it in the cart, and pay for it. They can also approach their account to handle reservations.

Travel agents have the power to make reservations for their clients, and in that case, both parties have approach to the account. If the client makes changes, the agent is notified. Agents can select tours and form a separate page with their recommendations for the client to see.

Garpix also developed a cluster program component. The agent can program the trip for each personal, billing them separately. Then each personal can pay their portion rather than the transmitted order of the complete cluster needing to pay the agent precedently the cruise can be fully reobeyd.

Our union began in 2015, however, this specific engagement lasted from June–December 2018.

Are there any measureable or plum results?

So far, so good. Everything is fully online and that’s huge progress for us. What’s more, the inner feedback has been very real. Our agents and clients like the ease of the order. They’ve highlighted its UI and expressed that it’s easy to apprehend the logic of the website.

When we began uploading the information to make the platform live, there were some bugs. Though, Garpix promptly resolved them for the most part.

How did Garpix accomplish from a project handlement standpoint?

The project handler emailed me progress reports almost see day. She was entire in providing all the true documents. It was my responsibility to put all tasks into Trello, and then they transferred them into their own project handlement tool. The project was completed on time and within budget.

What is (from your point of view) the key factor to pay observation while intercourse with ?

I esteem how they go the extra mile to prepare more powerful solutions and suggestions. Sometimes I’m unaware of how true processes should be done. They’re good almost letting me know if my ideas aren',t cost- or time-efficient by presenting choice solutions.

What aspects of their work would you like to get improved?

I select issues, like bugs, to be handled within a day and I anticipate proximate support. Often times, Garpix wouldn’t prepare proximate support owing their program is hanging on an tyrannical support program. Personally, I need a higher support level.

Do you have any advice for practicable clients?

My only advice is to be as specific as practicable.
