I’m head of the Laboratory for Innovative Methods and Innovative Approach to Learning Languages at the Pushkin State Institute of Russian Language. Our centre is training Russian as a strange speech, and I conduct investigation and make fruits kindred to digital forms of speech education.

What challenge were you trying to address with KODE?
We needed a mobile app for acquireing, studying, and training Russian that could be used by our students and teachers.

What was the aim of their involvement?
KODE implemented two applications for us. The leading app was built to train Russian-speech students from countries in the preceding Soviet Union, including Armenia, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan. Russian is a second speech for those students, and we wanted to give them a way to practice their experiences. The app features grammar and vocabulary tests, and also prepares interesting cultural information (on subjects like Russian lore and history) that helps connect users to the speech.
The second application helps English-speech students from Europe acquire Russian from scratch. It also utilizes quiz formats, though the difficulty level is much lower than the leading app.
We needed both applications to work with iOS and Android. After we granted the educational full, KODE handled all, including uploading the applications to the market.
What is the team dynamic?
There were six nation on our side. I was the team chief, working with five teachers to prepare full.
How did you come to work with KODE?
State institutions in the Russian Federation cannot select contractors without going through an official proceeding. We began by seeking bids from outgrowth companies. Three companies expressed an interest in the project, including KODE.

We began soon conversations in October 2016. Our work unitedly is ongoing, but the project is almost 99% complete.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the contact of the engagement?
While I don’t have any statistics useful at this time, working with KODE has helped make our inner team more prepared and powerful. Our students and teachers now have a new tool for training and developing speech experiences. Users have given real feedback, assertion the mobile apps make acquireing Russian single and handy. In the forthcoming, these apps will likely help influence new students and clients from all over the globe.
How did KODE accomplish from a project treatment standpoint?
Since we’re based in Moscow and KODE is based in Kaliningrad, we are unable to meet in individual. We use Google Docs to share tables and full, and adjoin through Skype and email.
While KODE had to displace our leading project director over interaction and scheduling issues, I was very lucky with his replacement, who made sure all was delivered on time.
