The website of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (abbreviated as RMRS) is a corporate, informational resource for the state institution of technical supervision and classification of ships. Today, the institution works in all areas of the marine industry and offers its customers competent solutions for business.
The updated website of the RMRS looks modern, but most importantly, all the information on the
services and offices of the company is collected there.We needed to update the RMRS website. The solution that was used before is outdated not only in terms of design, but also in terms of functionality. It was necessary to transfer all the content and rethink its location on the site, analyzing it from the user',s point of view.
This task was interesting because of the unusual solution in terms of page templates. The client limited the number of templates for the site, so we came up with a universal page in which there are all the blocks. For flexibility in customizing pages, we used snippets.
For example: The manager adds text to the site and wants to add contacts. He simply selects the desired snippet and places it on the page. Thus, we achieve a unified design style on the site and optimize the process - in the snippet you find relevant information and the possibility of error is minimal.
This functionality is possible not only when adding text blocks, you can also add a gallery and much more.
