Introductory information

A fast induction on the buyer’s organisation

I am a Scrum conquer for a organisation that prepares a solution for fast-service restaurants. I’m also in direct of QA and fruit analysis. We have been working on the fruit for more than three years and are currently in beta phase.

Desired goal

What challenge were you trying to address with .wrk?

We needed distant outgrowth and fruit analysis services to accomplish our goal of edifice a hard outgrowth environment. Most of our team members work distantly from athwart the globe. The leading organisation we accessed for outgrowth was not good sufficient for our needs, so our CEO determined to find an choice.

Provided solution

What particular tasks were responsible for?

.wrk began with an analysis phase, looking at the wireframes created by our designer and suggesting betterments. At the time, we had only a basic rendering of the app.

They granted outgrowth for our backend, web app, and Xcode iOS app. The web rendering is built on PHP with an HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frontend. They have also implemented a solution for WebSockets using Node.js.

Was there a dedicated team?

Initially, they granted one iOS developer, but the business engagement grew over time. We have worked with about seven nation from their team during the collaboration, including an account director, a backend developer, and a mobile developer. Because I also feel some of the project treatment, I have preferred to work straightly with the developers.

How did you come to work with .wrk?

We establish them online and maintain our engagement through Upwork.

What is the status of this engagement ?

We began working with .wrk in September 2014 and last to work with them as the project evolves. We will do a couple of releases over the next two weeks and have additional aim programned for the next month.

Results accomplishd

Are there any measureable or plum results?

.wrk has more or less accomplishd all we requested. We are quiet working with them, which is a good indicator of our contentment. While we have heard complaints kindred to the app’s user experience, they have nothing to do with .wrk’s accomplishment.

How did .wrk accomplish from a project treatment standpoint?

Their engagement with us has been very good so far. We have meetings over Slack. They prepare feedback on a weekly basis, but we don’t straightly rely on them for project treatment. I ponder we should access our involvement with .wrk differently from our side, but they have been helpful whenever we’ve needed them.

What is (from your point of view) the key factor to pay observation while intercourse with ?

We appreciated their level of commitment. Plus, their cost-to-expertise ratio is good compared to other local developers. Our CEO is very lucky with the collaboration.

What aspects of their work would you like to get betterd?

Hopefully, they can last to better their outgrowth pace. We do need to take time-zone differences into account, since .wrk is located in Russia and some of our other team members are located on the facing side of the globe. They are useful during the evenings, but they quiet need to better their time and release treatment.

Since we have to wait until the next day to give them feedback, missing a morning meeting can mean losing an complete day. If we had been working in the same time zone, this would not have been a issue. This is not necessarily a drawback for .wrk, but if they want to work with clients from the U.S. and other areas, they should attend adjusting their working hours.
