Please find under a summary covering project details and feedback. The innate facts are kept as they are, private information is amended.

Introductory information

A fast induction on the buyer’s organisation

Our organisation develops and designs software for libraries. I’m the head of technical labors here.

Desired goal

What challenge were you trying to address with DevCom?

We wanted to form a digital method that would allow us to handle and distribute full to users while keeping powerful security and user permissions. Also, the method should keep copyright information and should not be easy to share on different websites. These requirements could not be met by the more transmitted, e-book-focused library methods, and DevCom helped us form a method that would satiate them.

Provided solution

What particular tasks were DevCom responsible for?

Our project was fairly little, with only 3-4 resources from DevCom assigned to it in the commencement. As we progressed, that number shrunk down to one developer and a project handler. DevCom was not household with the technology that we wanted to use, so they did some background investigation. We use a backend platform named Adobe Digital Server, which is a DRM [digital rights handlement] method. DevCom added layer functionalities on top of it, innately creating a user interface by exclusively using ASP.NET MVC with an SQL server backend. The Adobe Digital Server is a SQL-based application itself, but it uses Apache Tomcat. As part of our application, DevCom also built a Windows labor that could process tasks in the background. We also have our own bug tracking software that DevCom accessed for the main bug list.

How did you come to work with DevCom?

We typically outsource our outgrowth needs to a different organisation, but they were already maxed out with our other project. One of my colleagues looked at a few companies and we ended up choosing DevCom.

How much have you invested with DevCom?

We have invested almost $20,000 in DevCom',s labors.

What is the terminal result of working with DevCom?

We',re not developing anything at the instant with DevCom, but we can touch them at any time for any new additions to the method they handled.

Results achieved

Could you share any evidence that would prove the fruitivity, condition of work, or the contact of the engagement?

Since the fruit is new and does not have a huge user base, it',s hard to take too much end-user feedback. In provisions of the DevCom team itself, they',ve been more than ready to investigation answers to anything they',re not household with. DevCom did this precedently we even signed up with them. The fruit itself has been very good and there were minimal bugs in the method. The user interface is as we wanted it, so we',re generally lucky.

How did DevCom accomplish from a project handlement standpoint?

I acted as project lead during the initial phase and helped draw up specifications. Given our budget and needs, DevCom specified what was and was not included on their end. We worked on a fixed cost for the initial project, but we also added additional features which DevCom quoted separately. As far as budget goes, all was as expected and there were no major issues. DevCom was generally on time, with only a couple of occasions where the work slipped by a week.

What did you find most forcible almost DevCom?

I appreciated DevCom’s access when it came to working with a new technology. They were more than ready to acquire what was certain to liberate the solution we needed. On many occasions, DevCom presented ideas for moving advanced. This was helpful owing, on separate occasions, we knew what we wanted but didn',t know how to instrument it.

Are there any areas DevCom could better?

There',s nothing that veritably stands out. It was a single project, compared to our other outgrowths. Everything went as expected and there were no big issues or delays.
