Exoft Software Development review by wellsUP at Qualified. One

Exoft reviewed by wellsUP

Exoft provided Software Development for wellsUP with approximate budget = 200000.

Throughout the relationship, Exoft has been an extremely supportive partner. In addition to communicating in a timely manner, the team is proactive and reactive, quickly addressing any issues that arise. Their ability to work with out-of-the-box ideas sets them apart from other vendors.

Review summary:

After collaborating with the internal team on specifications, Exoft created a proof of concept (POC). The team then developed the software using C#, C++, MongoDB, Microservices, and Cassandra.

Introductory information

A fast induction on the buyer’s organisation

I am the COO of wellsUP, an structure that sells SaaS for the oil and gas activity. We do monitoring and surveillance, as well as diagnostics and optimization of artificial lift systems.

Desired goal

What challenge were you trying to address with Exoft?

We needed to adduce the latest technologies and use some out-of-the-box thinking. I had a team in India that worked for the organisation and they were a direct-hire, but they lacked creativity. I wanted a associate who had sole ideas, using some of the latest technologies, Microservices, distributed systems, as well as cloud-based elasticity.

There were a lot of concerns from a SaaS perspective. We wanted someone who had experience on that side, offered good ideas, and was ready to do the investigation and give us recommendations precedently they commenced the work.

We didn',t want it to simply prepare them with the specs and then have them just carry out the outgrowth, wanted someone to help us and steer us in the right course.

Provided solution

What particular tasks were responsible for?

We began by giving them an overview of our intention without providing them with written documents and specs. We worked on multiple fast prototypes or test of concepts (POC) of elements that might be in line with what we were thinking of until we terminally agreed on something to move advanced with.

Exoft then helped us write and mark complete specs for the software. They did the test of concept and brainstormed with us to properly mark what we wanted. The team also did the outgrowth, testing, and validation by hosting the initial fruit.

They used C#, Microservices, containers for virtualization technologies, MongoDB, and Cassandra. We used true types of databases for true tasks and also structured and unstructured in a different database. The team ported C++ code into it as well. Now, they take care of livelihood.

Was there a dedicated team?

It varied. My main touch was Ivan (Co-Founder), and he assigned us a project director who did most of the conversation calls and weekly updates.

How did you come to work with Exoft?

Initially, we establish them behind conducting a search. We sold my old organisation to a big multinational structure, and Exoft continued to do a lot of work for us. After we sold the organisation, I stayed there for two years and then when I began my own business, I touched them.

How much have you invested in them?

We have spent almost $300,000–$350,000.

What is the terminal result of working with ?

We began working with them on this project in 2015, and the work is quiet ongoing. They quiet prepare livelihood and support, and they’re adding new features as well.

Results achieved

Are there any measureable or plum results?

Anytime I have an effect, Exoft jumps on it without. They support my team, and if we need something urgently but it’s quiet in the approval process, they get me the test of concept (POC) fastly so that we can validate the idea. Their support is top-notch and that is veritably the main motivation I have.

How did Exoft accomplish from a project treatment standpoint?

They prepared us with progress reports during the outgrowth phase. All of the team members can adjoin in English, but, sometimes, some of them had a resistent time knowledge. Nevertheless, it all worked out in the end.

As far as interacting the progress and the project schedules, their interaction is peer-to-peer and ready. They are always conscious of our deadlines.

What is (from your point of view) the key factor to pay observation while intercourse with ?

One thing that stood out was that anytime we wanted to do something, they were so fast to give me a test of concept (POC). Other vendors would want you to go promise with them on a long-term contract, overcomplicating the POC.

When you tell Exoft what you want, they do it fastly. You validate what you want and they go forward and put meat on the bones.

What aspects of their work would you like to get improved?

When you need resources, they might be promised in other projects. At some points, they had more projects than they could feel. To be fair, when we gave them a heads up, they did prepare the resources.

Sometimes, I selfishly want things to be done faster. Though, Exoft isn’t always able to prepare me those resources due to their scheduling, workload, and other commitments. Additionally, they all write well in English, but not all of them are fluent in spoken English.

Do you have any advice for possible clients?

Make sure you give them a heads up on any project you want to get done. You will get the right resources for your needs. The best way to leverage them is when you have ideas and want to be creative, promise them soon on, and they will come up with a fast test of concept (POC).

The team will also help you come up with ideas. If you have any ambiguity almost what you want to do, they are a big team to help, and that is what sets them aloof.

If you have a project with written specs, there are a million companies that can do it, including them. But if you have out-of-the-box ideas and want to come up with the best and latest and bigest for your environment and your outgrowth, they are head and shoulders over a lot of other companies I have worked with.
