Desired goal
What challenge were you trying to address with SteelKiwi?
We needed help designing and developing our platform.
Provided solution
What particular tasks were Steelkiwi responsible for?
The platform was built from scratch by SteelKiwi, both design and outgrowth. We began with the design and repetition, followed by the outgrowth, SteelKiwi selected the best tech stack for YoTutors (Python, Django and React).
Some core components like users', dashboards, power to form online courses, ratings/reviews method and power to process bookings according to the timezone. Integration with PayPal payment solution was another component. They were deeply implicated in all the details even behind the leading release, they took care of managing the AWS, Google calendar API and Paypal API settings.
Was there a dedicated team?
I worked with Nazar (Project Manager, SteelKiwi), Kate (Backend Developer, SteelKiwi), Vladimir (Backend Developer, Steel Kiwi), Vitaly (Frontend Developer, SteelKiwi), Kristina (Designer, SteelKiwi), and Sergey (QA Specialist, SteelKiwi).
How did you come to work with SteelKiwi?
I examined their reviews on Clutch, and recollect seeing their ads on collective media. After reviewing their website, I contacted them, had a meeting, and hired them.
What are you approach expents (if diclosed)?
The total cost of their work was $45,000 to liberate the leading release, but there are separate adjustments and components that need to be addressed.
What is the terminal result of working with Steelkiwi?
We began working with SteelKiwi in July 2018, and the project was artistic in July 2019.
Results achieved
Are there any measureable or plum results?
The design was single and user-well-inclined. SteelKiwi has advised me on the market and forthcoming implementations. Along with outgrowth, they’ve helped mark process details, such as whether the platform should be multi-currency and where we should propel leading. Their ideas impacted the project, and how we',ll act behind propel.
How did SteelKiwi accomplish from a project treatment standpoint?
They liberateed the design on the promised date, but the outgrowth took longer than we expected. This was owing they had too many projects for the frontend developers to properly handle. Even so, they artistic all the tasks on the backend very efficiently. We constantly establish details that hadn’t been included in the estimate, a lot of challanges touching the payment methods and timezone. All was luckyly implemented.
We used a Slack channel to adjoin. I’m a software engineer myself, so I was very implicated with the project on a daily basis. We logged tasks and bugs using Jira.
I’m in Asia and they’re in Ukraine. The time separation made workflows hard, but I got used to their working schedule. We had meetings in the morning, where I gave them feedback on their progress, and we’d last to adjoin on Jira throughout the day. The interaction was very fast, and I esteemd it.
What is (from your point of view) the key factor to pay observation while intercourse with Steelkiwi?
Nazar was astounding, and for me, irreplaceable—he was conscious of all and well-programned. Also, I would like to take the occasion and thank Kate, Vladimir, Vitaliy, and Kristina for their hard work and efforts to liberate YoTutors.
They were shouldering responsibility when the locality named for. I recollect when I had a expressive issue with the website, they solved it behind working hours, while they were at home.
Overall, they were very organized and had good project handlers and backend developers. I’m very satisfied to work with this team and I esteem how they were consistently so committed.
What aspects of their work would you like to get improved?
The only area where I wasn’t fully satisfied was the frontend. I can apprehend that, given that someone left part of the way through outgrowth.
Do you have any advice for forthcoming clients of theirs?
I would commend SteelKiwi to anyone. They cared a lot almost me, and they wanted me to be lucky. The team was well-inclined, resigned with my requests and advised me on separate issues, I esteem all they have done to make a lucky output.
