Mark has been working in the agency world since day 1 of his career. He started as an Assistant Media Planner at Duffy and Shanley in RI but found his true calling after graduating to a role in Account Service. There he worked on local accounts such as Navigant Credit Union Bank of Canton University Orthopedics and Delta Dental of Rhode Island. Now in his 7th year working with The Boston Group Mark has managed Raytheon business units and the Raytheon corporate account along with other clients such as PatientKeeper and Noble. With a vast range in experience managing video trade show integrated paid media campaigns and office branding projects; Mark has the experience no matter what the job calls for!
In addition to writing biographies about himself in the third person Vaughn serves as Executive Creative Director at TBG leading creative teams across their entire roster of clients. He has 20+ years of experience in B2B and B2G brands working on high-level projects for multiple Fortune 500 organizations and government agencies including Raytheon Technologies Analog Devices Texas Instruments Oracle IBM and Honeywell. He holds an undergraduate degree from Boston College and Masters from Emerson College. When not creating cool campaigns Vaughn spends time with his wife three kids and two dogs. Hannah has worked in the marketing and advertising industry for 10+ years 6+ years at ad agencies. She started her agency career in recruitment advertising as an Account Manager at Bernard Hodes Group working for clients such as Vertex Pharmaceuticals Shire Pharmaceuticals Pitney Bowes and Raytheon. Hannah switched to Media when she started at TBG in 2015. Since then she has worked her way up from Planner to Associate Media Director leading all aspects of the media research multi-channel planning and strategy buying trafficking reporting and optimizing processes. Hannah has a Bachelor of Arts degree from University of Massachusetts Amherst.
Though Christian joined TBG officially in 2018 he has worked with the team from the vendor side for well over a decade. After graduating with a degree in Biology Christian went on to finish a masters degree in TV amp; Film from The Newhouse School of Communications at Syracuse University. Shortly after he moved to Warsaw Poland to help launch the first Polish-language music television station. After a long stint in the broadcast world working with clients such as EPSN CBS Animal Planet ABC Vistaprint Subway British Airways (to name a few) Christian joined TBG as Director of Video. For nearly 20 years he has specialized in video editing graphic animations and design.
Leslie began her career at the global agencies NW Ayer and BBDO in New York and later at BBDO and Ogilvy in Australia. Leslie was fortunate to participate in global training programs and manage multiple brands including Hyatt Hotels Dunkin Donuts Qantas Airways and Hasbro. She returned to the United States to integrate business strategy and creative for roster clients at Digitas in Boston. After working in senior management positions at Digitas Ingalls and Hill Holliday Leslie took over the management of TBG after its founders retired in 2004. At TBG she has developed a focused business model based on excelling at B2B/B2G client relationships.
Marc has more than 20 years of experience designing brand identity systems and marketing campaigns across multiple channels for a wide range of clients from building empathy for chimpanzees working with The Jane Goodall Institute to getting humans to drink more Awful Awfuls at Newport Creamery restaurants. At TBG he helps develop identity systems environmental branding trade show designs and digital campaigns — for clients such as Raytheon Technologies The Aerospace Corporation and Noble. Before TBG Marc taught design part-time for the Continuing Education program at the esteemed Rhode Island School of Design helping students learn about the ulcer-ridden paranoia we affectionately call graphic design.
Teresa has seven years of experience in marketing and advertising spending four of those years on the Account team at The Boston Group. Teresa works closely with her account media and creative team members to develop strategic and effective brand campaigns implemented at their utmost efficiency across various platforms and channels for clients such as Raytheon Missile Systems Raytheon Professional Services and Aerospace Industries Association. Before becoming a part of the TBG family Teresa worked as an Account Manager servicing a broad range of B2B and B2C clients such as Twin River Casino Paul Masse Chevrolet Colbea Enterprises and Teufelberger. Teresa holds a B.S. in Marketing from Rhode Island College and is an avid equestrian having competed in the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) circuit.
Steve is entering his 3rd year here at TBG as a producer and brings along 6+ years of marketing experience. Working on the production team Steve collaborates with the client team to launch new project plans oversee quality management and coordinate job tasks across all departments. Steve was first inspired to pursue a career in advertising from watching Super Bowl commercials growing up and went on to attend the University of Massachusetts – Dartmouth where he received a B.S. in marketing and a minor in sustainability.
Claire graduated from SUNY Oswego in 2018 before moving to Boston to break into the advertising industry. She began her career interning at The Fantastical ad agency designing brand identities and campaigns for clients such as Hasbro Jenzabar and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. She joined the TBG family in 2019 and has since spent her days designing for brands including Raytheon PatientKeeper Nortek and Cradles to Crayons. Claire lives for anything creative and strives to put this energy toward creating work that surpasses clients expectations.
Matt is an ACD and has been with the agency for 9+ years. He helps build brand identities and integrated campaigns across on- and offline platforms and works with members of multiple teams to provide strategic direction and generate creative intelligent content. Prior to TBG Matt worked as a Senior Copywriter at Mullen Advertising and has worked in both in-house and start-up environments. His clients have included Raytheon Analog Devices Ball Aerospace Blue Cross Blue Shield of MA GM Card and LendingTree. Matt holds an undergraduate degree from Hampshire College.

Valerie has been at The Boston Group for about 2 years assisting with daily operations. She has extensive experience in customer service within the hospitality industry and brings that professionalism and personality to everything she does. She has done internships with Walt Disney World the Kentucky Derby as well as the Belmont Stakes. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Hotel Restaurant and Tourism Management with a Minor in Business from SUNY Plattsburgh.
Allison is a strategic thinker with almost 10 years experience who is passionate about partnering with clients to uncover key insights and develop campaigns that drive results. Since joining TBG Allison has spearheaded the development of the first enterprise-wide Cyber strategy for Raytheon in addition to leading efforts for missile systems land warfare military training and more. Allison enjoys the collaborative nature of a smaller more specialized and nimble agency after working at large agencies such as Digitas and Ogilvy supporting a wide range of projects from integrated advertising to demand generation to complex website development. Her past clients include IBM Bank of America and PNC Bank. Allison holds a BA from Bates College in Rhetoric and Ancient Greek – clearly a must for any marketer!
Mihran has been at The Boston Group since the fall of 2000. He is currently the CFO and manages all aspects of the financial functions of the agency from timesheets to financial reporting to management. He also manages Human Resources outsourced IT Support solution the technology infrastructure of TBG administers client amp; vendor contracts Prior to the Boston Group Mihran has worked with non-profits publishing school-age after school program developers. He also currently owns a private accounting firm working with individuals and small businesses.
Louis began in 1978 a career that would span 40+ years of editorial work with Typographic House; Hill Holliday advertising; Arnold Worldwide advertising; and The Boston Group. All agencies located in Boston MA. Louis ensures the consistency and accuracy of content typography grammar and rhetoric of many varied projects across all clients.
Sarah has been with the company for over 4 years. Sarah is all about the numbers and making sure those numbers help improve every aspect of our clients business – from analyzing and assessing the results and metrics of campaigns to informing media and creative tactics to sharing learnings with clients. Before joining the TBG team Sarah has worked with companies including Panera Bread Stanley Black amp; Decker and Harpoon to hone her data acumen. Sarah is a graduate of National Taipei University and holds an MBA from Boston University.
Michael is an art/creative director with more than 20 years of design and advertising experience working with such highly recognized brands as Timberland Philips Boston Scientific Eastern Mountain Sports American Tower Santander Waters Corporation John Hancock PTC and many others. Michael looks at the overall complex nature of a companys brand and brings that to life over a variety of rich and engaging media. With a rich production and creative background he has all the tools and resources to deliver powerful and memorable marketing campaigns and integrated programs. His work has appeared on national television and has been recognized in numerous award categories.
Jenn is our Accounting/ Office Manager and has been with the agency for 8+ years. She supports the agency in a variety of operational and financial roles. She reports to the Director of Finance and Operations and handles accounts payable accounts receivable vendor relationships media amp; client billing and day to day operational functions. Jenn holds a bachelors degree in the Science of Business Administration with a concentration in accounting from the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
Matt joined TBG in 2019 as a Junior Art Director with various graphic design experience across Boston after completing his degree at the University of Massachusetts – Dartmouth. Before TBG Matt interned at Ascend Learning LLC creating catalogs and textbook layouts for different imprints of the company. Later becoming freelancer for the Eric Mower and Associates agency assisting senior designers with production and design for tradeshows and campaigns such as for the Dell Technologies world 2019 conference Las Vegas and the We Bring Robotics to Life Campaign with MassRobotics.
Scott has over 20 years of experience crafting big ideas for a wide range of clients including multi-billion-dollar multinational consumer goods companies and pre-VC high-tech startups. He applies unwavering passion and grit to every assignment and has tackled everything from fertilizer to jets to ice cream. He has extensive experience across a wide range of media—digital video design broadcast print and direct response. Before working at The Boston Group Scott worked at Grove Marketing the Wolf Group and Modern Media. He has been instrumental in creating integrated campaigns over the years for clients such as: IBM Netezza Dunkin Donuts ATamp;T Haagen-Dazs Scotts and Fidelity.
Wendy joined TBG in 2018 after graduating from Massachusetts College of Art and Design. Before joining the TBG family she interned with MassHousing creating advertisements campaign looks print and infographics. While simultaneously designing brand styles for local small businesses. Now she works hard with the creative team to make our clients wishes come into reality.
Angela Herbst is a veteran of the national marketing agency business for nearly 20 years with leadership positions at Arnold Worldwide Allen amp; Gerritsen Hill Holliday and PJA. At Allen amp; Gerritsen Angela led the B2B practice with strategy media and creative assignments for companies like Waters Corporation DST Systems and Hartford Funds. During her six years at Hill Holliday Angela led Bank of Americas wealth management business including Merrill Lynch and US Trust. At PJA she worked to grow their consumer practice managing brands like Cambridge Trust Brother Ace Hardware and Straight Talk. Most recently Angela was at Arnold Worldwide leading the Santander Fidelity and Kaplan University businesses.
John is a 20-year veteran in B2B and B2C advertising. His primary roles have been in traffic and print production for clients as diverse as Titleist McDonalds Stop amp; Shop JetBlue and Fidelity. John had previous stints at Arnold and Cambridge BioMarketing. John is a graduate of Boston College with degrees in Political Science and Philosophy. His true passions lie in film cooking and pop culture.
Melanie joined TBG this year and has been working in marketing and advertising for 4 years with her most recent experience in data analytics. She works hand-in-hand with her colleagues in the Media and Analytics department to assist in launching media campaigns analyzing campaign results and being a point in contact with publishers to ensure campaign expectations are met. Before joining TBG Melanie worked as an Assistant Marketing Analyst at an agency focusing on higher education. Before that she was a Marketing Specialist at a direct marketing firm and an International Media Account Assistant at Omnicom Media Group in Paris with clients such as Nissan. She has an MBA in International Business amp; Marketing from ISC Paris Business School.
