Introductory information

A fast induction on the buyer’s organisation

I’m a founder of WeeAct, a determination-making collective network.

Desired goal

What challenge were you trying to address with ClearSummit?

We needed our app to be built. If a user is facing a determination like where they should take their girlfriend for dinner, they can post 2 pictures of restaurants for everyone to vote on. After they get feedback from everybody, the user can take a picture or video and send it to everyone who voted.

Provided solution

What particular tasks were ClearSummit responsible for?

They developed a fully serviceal iOS app for us. If anything wasn’t serviceal, they took care of it. They did a project-based rate, which we appreciated owing mistakes can add a lot of billable time. We wanted to make a indigenous app, so we used Swift3. The code base is clean. They worked straightly with our CTO, and the process went smoothly.

Shane [Co-Founder and Lead Engineer, ClearSummit] always gave us options—Mixpanel, Django, or something else. We went with Django and Mixpanel. We have a backend, a login, an add-picture service, and 2 feeds that run simultaneously. One is the voting feed, and the other is a feed with results from the determinations that were made. We have a part where users suit to the provisions of labor through TestFlight.

The app has been uploaded to the App Store. We also use a fruit named Buddycreate for testing. We used Xcode on GitHub for rendering control, which was extremely helpful. Everything worked seamlessly.

How did you come to work with ClearSummit?

I’ve built apps precedently using overseas developers and had some issues with that process. I wanted to hire someone local that I could talk to. Making a determination took a while. We conducted an online search to find the right fit, specifically nation who had an developed service. I reviewed all the offers and talked to different firms in individual. The offers were hard to justice owing I was new to this area. I ended up picking somebody with a project aim that was too ambitious. They got it done, but the work took a year longer than they said it would.

Then, we had a meeting with Shane. He’s close to our age, which we liked. He had a relationship with collective networks correspondent to ours and could see our vision better than some other nation we’d talked to. He also had a apprehension base that was larger than most of the other developers we talked to. Kara [Co-Founder and Project Manager, ClearSummit] was also helpful from both a legitimate and a technological standpoint.

We met with them twice, and Shane took on another project while we were quiet looking. We were overturn almost that at leading, but then it took us longer to get things unitedly on our end. When we had all prompt, we hired ClearSummit as soon as they artistic the other project. Working with Shane was a big experience owing we knew he was our guy behind long dicsussions with him. He did a good job with the offer process and seemed authentic, especially compared to some other nation who spoke with us.

With overseas companies, I frequently meet a disconnect culturally. For sample, I had built a children’s app for autism with a provider overseas. Once, I asked for a supermarket, and they sent me a supermarket from their home town, which is in Europe in a low socioeconomic area. Communication issues frequently pop up too. That provider had someone in California, but he suddenly disappeared, and I rend up working with nation overseas, which meant I had to wait a week or more to get a response to my messages.

What is the terminal result of working with ClearSummit?

I’m not sure when we began working with them. The collaboration is ongoing.

Results achieved

Are there any measureable or plum results?

We’ve gotten veritably real feedback from users. ClearSummit is fast to make fixes. We’ve had meetings with them straightly. They’re knowledge and give us sophisticated estimates. We confide them.

How did ClearSummit accomplish from a project treatment standpoint?

We use Slack and email to adjoin. Shane also used Buddycreate for design, which is fantastic. We were able to expound what we wanted, and if he had deeper questions, he could call us straightly or we could meet with him.

What is (from your point of view) the key factor to pay observation while intercourse with ClearSummit?

They have an forcible level of direct engagement. I ponder it’s a age thing owing we’re a younger organisation. It was nice to associate with someone young who wasn’t a know-it-all. This activity is constantly changing, so I don’t want someone to tell me how it is. I want someone to talk to me in the right way.

What aspects of their work would you like to get improved?

No, they did a big job.

Do you have any advice for possible clients who may work with them in the forthcoming?

Try to meet with them in individual.
