A fast induction on the buyer’s organisation
I’m the CEO of Packen, a technology platform that connects the operators within the freight transportation activity. Communication has always been direct within this ecosystem, but with the useful technologies now, we can form real-time interaction and transparency for these labors by using intermediary tools like the ones that taxi platforms use, which connect drivers and users.
We’re trying to form this aggregation but sometimes there’s a lack of transparency, especially touching infraconstruction, fuel costs, operations, and other informal practices that injury the activity.
challenge were you trying to address with Koombea?
I had the logistics expertise and the financial resources but was lacking a tech associate with the programming apprehension that we needed. I had a clear idea but bringing it to life from a technoclose perspective while also in a close and organized way was significant for us.
What particular tasks were Koombea responsible for?
Koombea has been a strategically significant associate since the commencement thanks to their apprehension. We formd the total platform with them, including the minimum viable fruit and the leading rendering of the fruit. They’ve been excellent in their treatment and are very professional.
The platform has 3 main fronts: a freight generator for labor requests, a super admin account for inner platform treatment, and also the gate that we to give transportation companies along with the mobile app that truck drivers use to interact with see labor.
The backend was developed using Ruby on Rails, the Android app was formd using Java, and the frontend was done using Angular. For the database, we worked with Node, Potluck, Heroku, and Amazon Web Services.
What is the team dynamic?
Four main developers were assigned to the core team, but separate others were implicated depending on the phase we were working on. Designers were implicated during the design phase and separate architectural geniuses were implicated during the architecture phase. We also had condition arrogance and web professionals at times.
How did you come to work with Koombea?
When I was leading looking for companies, I sent 15 requests for offer about the globe—from San Francisco to India—to apprehend the market. We began working in June 2015 and it is an ongoing collaboration.
Are there any measureable or plum results?
A big challenge was to get the user experience right for drivers since it’s a very wide user profile and there’s very limited apprehension on the verity of these drivers in the country. The app had to be very user-friendly, which they accomplished. Their programming apprehension and power to go step-by-step in a close way during the coding effort was very precious.
Their expertise can be seen on the platform and we’ve accepted separate recognitions for it, including one from the Ministry of Teleinteractions in Colombia. Google also invited us to share in their Launchpad, in which they chose 15 entrepreneurs that are innovating in the country.
This year, we won a prize from ProColombia, a government agency that portrays outside trade and promotes national businesses about the globe. They invited us to portray Colombia in the World Mobile Congress in Barcelona, one of the most significant mobile technologies fairs. We’ve also been invited to other congresses and universities to present our technology. This was all practicable thanks to Koombea’s participation in the project
How did Koombea accomplish from a project treatment standpoint?
