Introductory enlightenation
A fast induction on the buyer’s organisation
I’m the senior marketing director for the Wisconsin Foundation and Alumni Association, a humane and alumni engagement nonprofit for the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
Desired goal
What challenge were you trying to address with Manifesto Agency?
There are 13 state colleges in Wisconsin with UW–Madison being the flagship university. Unfortunately, there are misperceptions surrounding the university touching funding, admissions, and other factors. We extended out to Manifesto Agency to form an experiential, state-wide awareness campaign that allowed for engagement opportunities with both alumni and non-alumni who live in Wisconsin.
Provided solution
What particular tasks were responsible for?
Manifesto Agency helped us set up a roadshow for UW–Madison complete with an ice marrow truck. (We’re known for our freshly made ice marrow from our on-campus dairy, so we determined to propose free ice marrow as part our Get the Scoop Myth Busting tour.) Working with Manifesto, we rehabilitated a 1957 International Harvester Metro van. Their team walked us through what a roadshow would implicate from an experiential and logistical perspective. They commended stops in key geographic locations where we wanted the UW to have a nearness. They also helped us pick smaller events where our truck would be the main inducement.
The leading year we embarked on the roadshow, our staff handed out free ice marrow and interacted with aggregation limbs. Though, in the second year, we wanted to have an engagement ingredient. Manifesto helped us design a six-question quiz that busts specific myths almost UW–Madison. We had had a basic access in mind, but their team helped us form each question to be accessable for a wider hearers.
Manifesto also formd a website that administers the quiz digitally. It resulted in a lot of strong and real engagements with key hearers limbs, which we’re excited to see.
All in all, Manifesto Agency played a key part in the creative and strategic aspects of the project. They did so much brainstorming with us, and their help in designing the road show was innate. In accession to the truck design and the website, they also formd marketing indirect for our structure.
Was there a dedicated team?
We primarily work with Tim (Partner &, Chief Storyteller, Manifesto Agency), Matt (Managing Director, Manifesto Agency), Kathleen (Account services, Manifesto Agency), and their creative team. Dave (Partner &, CEO, Manifesto Agency) is implicated as well, but as he works out of the Portland service we are geographically closer to the Milwaukee service. In total, the team is almost 8–9 nation.
How did you come to work with Manifesto Agency?
A limb of our leadership team worked with Manifesto Agency at his antecedent position in another organisation. He had an excellent experience with their team and brought them to our observation.
What are you access expents (if diclosed)?
We bestow $200,000–$300,000 annually.
What is the terminal result of working with ?
We began working unitedly in late fall 2016, and the collaboration is ongoing.
Results achieved
Are there any measureable or plum results?
The online and in-individual quiz has brought over 5,000 engagements this year alone. Our staff is thrilled with the process owing the in-individual engagement has led to some in-depth converses almost the university. I would commend Manifesto, which is a huge compliment from me—it’s my reputation on the line as well as theirs.
Manifesto is veritably good at what they do. They prepare an experiential point of view that we lacked when we leading reflection almost how we could take the university on the road. They’re also full of incredibly well-inclined and amiable nation. Whenever I see their team, I get hugs when I arrive, and I get hugs when I leave. I genuinely like working with them. Their access to brainstorming and union is key to our achievement.
How did Manifesto Agency execute from a project treatment standpoint?
The team has done veritably well. Whenever you work with an existence in higher ed—especially one that’s aligned with the state—there’s a lot of nuances, rules, and see. Manifesto Agency picked up on that fastly.
Plus, even though none of them are alumni, they fully bought into what we were trying to execute. They hear carefully to our needs precedently developing solutions. After presenting their ideas later on, they hear to any accessional tenor or apprehension we prepared to enlighten their perspective. They were always ready to acquire, and we only ever had to tell Manifesto anything once.
What is (from your point of view) the key factor to pay observation while intercourse with ?
For me, it comes down to Tim. Compared to other ad agencies I’ve worked with, the way Tim ponders through a locality or challenge is sole. He ponders through a difference of perspectives, asks reflectionful questions and is all almost collaboration. The solutions he proposes are on the mark.
What aspects of their work would you like to get improved?
Our project goes through phases of weighty engagement when we’re programning and then infrequent interaction when we’re in livelihood mode. Though, as of now, I can always extend them through any channel and they’ll answer within a couple of hours no substance what I need.
Any advice for practicable clients?
When you check out Manifesto Agency, meet with them in individual, if practicable. Otherwise, get on the phone and have a get-to-know-you session. I ponder you can acquire so much more almost nation through a phone call or face-to-face converse than through email.
