Merry Green is the President of MGPG Events Inc. and the Creator amp; Founder of ’The Black Womens Expo’ in Chicago the nations longest running empowerment exposition for the African American consumer. Since 1995 MGPG Events Inc. a boutique firm headquartered in the City of Chicago has specialized in Event Planning amp; Production Experiential Marketing and Public Relations for an expansive list of clients. Merry has an extensive background and expertise in community relations and outreach creating effective public relations campaigns and producing special events specifically targeting the African American community.

Before launching MGPG Events Inc. Merry worked in both television and radio. She became the first African American Assistant Program Director for the ABC-network affiliate in Rochester New York WOKR-TV and in 1984 she joined NBC – Channel 5 as the Administrator of Community Programs producing local community affairs.
From NBC Merry became a Producer for the nationally-syndicated Ebony Jet Showcase a top-rated program produced by Johnson Publishing Company in 1986. She later moved to radio and became the Promotions amp; Marketing Director for WVAZ-FM (V103 radio) where she was known for the creation and production of unique marketing/promotions campaigns and special events to increase the listener-base and attract additional corporate clients most notably the ’Expo for Todays Black Woman’ the first radio-generated USO tour ’The Transatlantic Jam’ to England and West Germany and ’The Worlds Largest Steppers Contest’ an African American dance phenomenon for Anheuser-Busch.
