I’m the Chief Strategy Officer for the Texas County &, District Retirement System (TCDRS). For more than 50 years, TCDRS has been a standard for providing reliable solitude benefits. Benefits are responsibly funded, which resources costs are not pushed to forthcoming generations. We are one of the best-funded solitude programs in the nation. We do not take state funding, rather, each program is funded by investment earnings, the employer and its employees. We also work with more than 760 county and district employers, providing benefits to over 294,000 Texans, including 64,000 retirees.

What challenge were you trying to address with Oshyn?
We needed a associate to help our structure in constantly improving the client labor we prepare on our website, edifice new tools for our limbs and employers and helping us increase usability from mobile devices.

What particular tasks were responsible for?
Our initial project implicated Oshyn developing a tool named the Plan Customizer that allows our employers to run different scenarios so that they can make informed decisions almost their program. Every year, our employers can use the Plan Customizer to review their program, run different program discretion scenarios to see possible changes in cost, and yield changes if needed. This tool was very well taked, and employers could use it at their convenience.
In 2015, Oshyn helped us revamp our website with a centre on improving the information and usability of our Investments section, refreshing the design of all open and client-facing pages and adding new features. The website was built using Sharepoint and .NET.
And most recently, Oshyn helped us in liberateing a revamped limb gate. Changes centered on making the gate mobile well-inclined, adding multi-factor authentication and other security enhancements, and integrating new features like document upload. A second phase is currently underway that prepares additional online labors to our limbs.

We constantly take big feedback from our limbs and employers touching the work we have associateed with Oshyn to liberate.
How did Oshyn accomplish from a project treatment standpoint?
The financial and reporting side is always careful, and they do a good job interacting with the project team. We principally adjoin via email, phone, and status reports.
Equally significant, they are pliant. So, as the project evolves or we meet challenges, they are easy to work with to harmonize aim, resources, and schedules.
They do big work, but they also take the time to apprehend what we are trying to do as a business and how they might help, which makes them a good associate.What aspects of their work would you like to get improved?
