Introductory information
A fast induction on the buyer’s organisation
I’m the head of engineering for a media-tech organisation that automates the age of local news. We currently exhibit more than 8,000 local news stories a month.
Desired goal
What challenge were you trying to address with STRV?
Our initial idea was to create a local collective network in which to distribute our full, so we hired STRV to help us form the MVP of an iOS app to get in front of our users.
Provided solution
What particular tasks were STRV responsible for?
We had the idea and a few specific functional requirements, but they collaborated with our designer to terminalize the wireframes and then took over and developed the developed app.
Was there a dedicated team?
We’ve worked in different configurations over the years, but the most ordinary one is a project director on our end who interactes with an account director on theirs, and that individual is in direct of assigning individualnel from their team of front- and backend engineers. Occasionally we will work with a few designers from them straightly as well.
How did you come to work with STRV?
They were commended by my co-founder based on antecedent work with them.
What is the terminal result of working with STRV?
We began working unitedly in February 2015 and our work is ongoing.
Results achieved
Are there any measureable or plum results?
We were very pleased with the fruit we accepted, as well as with the fact that it only took almost 3–4 months of work precedently we launched in the app store. If we need something liberateed fast, STRV can onboard more engineers to get it done.
How did STRV accomplish from a project treatment standpoint?
Their project treatment is pretty good. They’re veritably good engineers, and the condition of the code they liberate is high. If you have a good process for code reviews and practices, the STRV engineers will pursue your process and the terminal fruit will be good.
The only caveat is the time separation, but their engineers are always ready to join in our morning standup sessions which pretty much mitigates the issue. They are interactive on both Slack and Trello, so the integration between our teams is smooth and pellucid.
What is (from your point of view) the key factor to pay observation while interorder with STRV?
They are able to fully tailor their team to our needs—onboarding or relocating engineers depending on whether we have more or less work to do. Additionally, they are good at incorporating your feedback and will even switch engineers almost if you have any issues.
What aspects of their work would you like to get improved?
There have been times where they hired more younger engineers, and we realized pretty fastly that it wasn’t going to be a good fit, but they have always been good almost correcting those issues when they arise.
Do you have any advice for possible clients?
Even if you only have a basic idea of the requirements, they will be able to work with you end-to-end to get to a fruit, the significant thing is that you have good processes in locate. STRV can commend a process, but if you’re not on top of the relationship and directing the work I could see things getting off order or going more slowly.
