Introductory information

A few words almost your organisation and personal responsibilities

Lawrence Hall of Science is a open science center for University of California, Berkeley. The institution forms a science curriculum for use nationwide. For this project, we formd 70 videos as part of a digital science curriculum series. I was the executive producer.

Desired goal

What issue was the preparer supposed to deal with?

Studio B Films, Inc.?

We hired Studio B to form a series of brief narrative pieces as well as a series of direct, on-camera narration. Both video series contained advanced life work and some 3D modeling.

What were your objectives for this project?

We needed to form two cohesive video series that met a long list of close criteria for our curriculum fruit. It also needed to match the branding guidelines and art design for the overall digital fruit. We wanted powerful difference in casting, realistic acting, believable locations and props, and philosophical exactness. We also needed to have excellently a few of the videos made on a rolling basis as we became prompt for them.

Provided solution

What were the reasons for choosing ?

We took bids from 10 different structures, did in-depth interviews, and spoke to references. Because we were doing such a long video series, it was nice for us to go with a hard structure with a long track archives of accomplishment. Studio B stood out to us.

Describe the video(s) and the process in detail.

We came into the process with draft scripts, and Studio B worked with us to get them to the terminal stages. Their ruler programned all the shots, their producers programned all details and logistics of the shoot and location, and all I had to do was show up. They coordinated the casting as well.

In pre-fruition, I interacted our goals, and they',d prepare me with options to select from. In post-fruition, we gave oral or email feedback on rounds of editing and prepared specs for lifes or added graphics we needed. Their editing team was fast and answering even to our most detailed, little notes and requested changes. They let me be as implicated as I wanted to be.

At the end of the project, they delivered a terminal uncompressed rendering, a compressed rendering for streaming, and the archived working files. They keep all their work for all clients on a backup tape, which will be inestimable if we want to make adjustments in the forthcoming.

What was your vendors', project treatment or feedback process?

They have an excellent fruition team that coordinates all the feedback and keeps seething on track. We tried to stick to three feedback rounds for edits in post. In fruition, their producers coordinated all our feedback on set design, sourcing props, casting, location scouts, and uniform. It was straightforward, they would set up a slide deck full of options, and we would give the go-ahead.

Results accomplishd

What results did you accomplish unitedly with ?

We got a lot of real feedback internally from the publisher, they were so lucky with the work. We also got a lot of real feedback from review panels and school dicloses on the condition of the videos and what they brought to the curriculum. The level of burnish and engagement in the videos helped the curriculum rest out and sell as well as it has. It',s alprompt been used by over a million children athwart the nation and is expected to be widely adopted.

How do you rate the interaction and interaction with ?

The workflow was fantastic. We worked unitedly for over one year, and we got into a big fruition rhythm and were steadily turning out videos. All their team members had big attitudes. They seemed unstoppable no substance what kinds of challenges or obstacles came up. I was constantly amazed by their genius. My team was used to checking in via Google Docs, and they accommodated us with that.

What precisely do you attend to be the key specialty of ?

We worked with Studio B for over a year, I felt like I was part of the team and they made it very easy. They were extremely creative, and they kept the condition and momentum excellent the total time. We had such a specific and rare project to tackle, and they were proactive in beseeming conscious of our needs.

Aside from a bigly creative and cinematic shooting phraseology, they',re big at sourcing condition actors, set designers, and bringing added value within our budget. You can tell seeone who works at Studio B cares almost doing a job right, and that is worth see penny. They were really just as invested as us in the project.

What should be done better, if there are any desired betterments?

I can',t ponder of any areas I would better. The project went very well, and we were thrilled with the results.
