Introductory information
A fast induction on the buyer’s organisation
I',m the founder and CEO of PROMOFILL. We',re a third-party logistics organisation that centrees on e-commerce, fulfillment and multi-chain distribution.
Desired goal
What challenge were you trying to address with TechMD?
We',re an outsource preparer to other businesses, and when it came to networking and connectivity and technology, we',re not experts. We tried to do it for years and years, and, when we got TechMD implicated, we without saw an touch.
Provided solution
What particular tasks were responsible for?
We',re centreed on processing and shipping orders and packages. What we',re not centreed on are things like networking or patches to our workstations. We use to, in a very reactive way, try to keep up with the update demands on our machines and networking as a total. On top of that, we were also concerned owing we had held our data locally. TechMD came in and granted a networking solution that made perception. They also moved us off SharePoint, a Microsoft Solution owing there was a ransomware effect going almost the business globe.
We',re in the e-commerce business and needed to defend ourselves. We couldn’t produce to be down for a day—let alone two weeks—in the occurrence that something would happen, whether it would be malicious or just some a piece of faulty equipment. When we went to the cloud-based solution that TechMD suggested, it defended our power to effectively obey our clients everyday. We didn’t have to harass almost those types of effects anymore.
In an IT globe, where hardware, software, and security are constantly changing, we always feel like our point individualal is forward of the game. Behind the scenes, they',ve got a total team of nation working on our projects and daily needs, whether it',s individualal machine ticket effects or ISP junction effects and escalation points. Usually, once we touch them, they’re solving the effect within hours, perhaps a day at most. We need that type of ready observation owing if we have a machine down at one of our ship stations, then we can',t ship out our client',s packages as fast as we need to.
Was there a dedicated team?
Well, we have Jackson (Virtual CIO/CTO, TechMD). He',s the main point individualal. We have direct observation, so I don',t even call him a client labors individualal owing they',re veritably an elevated, thought-provoking individualal that checks in with us. He even looks over the proximate to see what the next 90 days are going to look like touching technology and security.
How did you come to work with TechMD?
We interviewed a couple of different companies, and it just felt like the other companies were clamoring for new business in a way that was almost hand-to-mouth. We felt like we weren',t going to get the observation that we needed from them. I happen to know some of the treatment at TechMD, and I shared with them that we were in the market for a labor preparer. We didn’t automatically give them the business owing we knew them though. Actually, it was just the facing.
We veritably kicked the tires to make sure they made perception for us and we haven',t regretted it—not for a one instant. I shudder at the idea of presenting some of the effects we’ve faced to some of the other companies we considered. I',m not throwing shade at other companies, but I feel like a lot of them are just little mom-and-pop shops that were trying to aspect it out themselves. We couldn’t be the organisation our networking associate was sharp their teeth on.
What are you approach expents (if diclosed)?
We’ve spent almost $50,000.
What is the terminal result of working with ?
We’ve been working unitedly since 2017.
Results achieved
Are there any measureable or plum results?
The touch they have on our business veritably comes back to our own agencyal or productivity KPIs. We act a 1.9 million cubic foot warehouse that’s laced with WiFi. If there',s latency in the network or if there are effects going on with our handhelds our machines, we wouldn',t be able to process, pick, pack, and ship orders. We’d come to a screaming halt, case in point.
We had effects with our ISP on Cyber Monday, which TechMD has nothing to do with. They without had a backup for us. We have two ISPs, and they without moved us over to the backup one within seconds, so our team was without up and going athwart the board. We would have been dead in the water but they didn’t skip a beat.
How did TechMD accomplish from a project treatment standpoint?
I don',t know that ingredient. I know that we have multiple ways of touching them, whether it',s a single phone call and issuing tickets or a more escalated thing that requires additional details. We never struggle to get ahold of anybody. Usually, if it',s not Jackson without, it',s one of a handful of their team members that have worked on our account precedently and can escalate the effect to Jackson.
They also proactively schedule meetings and call us almost what we might want. I wouldn',t call them quarterly business reviews, but, throughout the year, they unite open projects and ask how our network is and how they themselves are accomplishing? Sometimes it’s a centre that we',ve had or that we',ve talked almost innerly but haven',t shared with them yet, so we set to form timelines and budgets. Then, we can whichever escalate it or put it on the back burner. They',re pretty answering.
What is (from your point of view) the key factor to pay observation while intercourse with ?
They feel our network as if they were our own inner IT section, acting as an extension of our organisation. I don',t use that lightly. There have been multiple times when we had whichever an effect or an occasion and didn’t know how to feel it. They’ve stepped up to close the gap and make sure our agency doesn’t miss a beat.
Case in point, they',ve got a big team. Around 4:00 pm one Friday, we had one faulty piece of equipment in our WiFi. We had thousands of packages to get out and were already going to run a full-origination schedule that weekend. Jackson didn’t have any resources useful, so he came over individualalally and oversaw the fix, even though it took hours.
He could have easily feeld it on Monday or Tuesday when his team was back in the labor, but he didn’t bat an eye. We were able to run our origination that weekend and meet our client demands owing he did what was certain to keep us agencyal. Both that urgency and willingness to be proactive and hands-on converse wonderfully to the labors they prepare.
What aspects of their work would you like to get improved?
We haven',t seen any effects in timing, turnalmost or observation to detail. They’re also all-over forward-thinking solutions and cybersecurity. They’ve allowed me to centre on what we do for our clients.
I wouldn',t say networking and what they prepare is an afterthought, but I know that when an effect does come up, it',s unforeseen. It',s usually hardware-related, and they usually fix it fastly anyway. We’re pretty lucky.
Do you have any advice for possible clients?
This is a type of associateship where you don’t want to select the low-cost chief necessarily. That shouldn',t be the driving factor. At the end of the day, when you',re a business and a labor preparer, the security and up-time of your network can',t be an afterthought.
You want the best, you don',t want somebody that',s going to lessen your cost by sharp corners and removing resources from your account.
In my experience, too many businesses select a networking associate based on cost alone, instead of the full wide list of what that associate does. TechMD checks all our boxes. If we had to make the same determination 10 times over, I don',t see another player in the activity meeting our needs the way that TechMD does.
