An Atlanta native Richard spent the first several years of his career in technology working with Cvent a SaaS company based in Washington DC. During his four years there Cvent raised a hefty investment rolled out new products and experienced massive growth ultimately leading to an IPO. Swept up in the excitement Richard caught the tech bug (big time) and hasnt looked back since! Following his time at Cvent Richard worked with an early stage startup called HighGround based in Chicago. After helping to raise an initial investment round the next step was naturally…to hire developers and build the product! With that Richard stumbled into the world of web development and his hunger for learning to ’code’ was born. That love of ’code’ led Richard to cofound Tech Talent South an alternative education company specializing in intensive in-person programs teaching web and mobile development. Over the span of a few years ’TTS’ grew by leaps and bounds (and is still growing) and became one of the top ranked ’coding bootcamps’ in the Southeast and in the world. Although still a part-owner at TTS Richard now spends his days fully focused on bringing amazing ideas and products to life with Tyrannosaurus Tech.
An Atlanta native Shannon has always had a strong thirst for knowledge and an entrepreneurial spirit. Coming from a background in Brain-Computer Interaction (BCI) research Shannon moved into a Project Management role at Travelport where she implemented the processes practices and tools for a DevOps culture-shift to agile scrum development. Shes been involved in a number of start ups from a non-profit community theatre to a blockchain assets exchange. In her spare time she likes to work with local artists who need extra hands building artwork fundraising event planning or grant writing. Mostly she thrives on new challenges continuous learning and creative collaboration. The world is fascinating and new knowledge is energizing. Together we are smart enough and creative enough to invent fantastic solutions that we could never achieve in silos.
An engineer turned sales amp; marketing specialist Jyotsna is passionate about growing technology companies in fast-paced environments. She currently leads business development and growth initiatives at Tyrannosaurus Tech. She works with small businesses startups and enterprise clients leveraging technology to solve complex business problems and create unique digital experiences. She also tackles marketing initiatives like social media blogs webinars and driving community engagement. Previously Jyotsna led sales and marketing for a Harvard-incubated startup that helps companies gain value and deep insight from emerging technologies such as deep learning AI blockchain and big data. She loves all things Atlanta tech food and board games. In her free time you will find her cooking up spicy culinary delights for her family and friends or plotting her next Catan victory.
Joshua is a Georgia native and has been a resident of Atlanta ever since moving here to attend Georgia Tech in the early aughts. Having graduated with degrees in both design and engineering he draws from his multi-disciplinary background when crafting solutions as a software developer. Joshua has worked within the Atlanta technology and startup scene for the past several years wearing a variety of hats in a number of roles. Before joining the team at Tyrannosaurus Tech previous positions have involved everything from technical support and operations management to community outreach and project management. He has worked at a range of companies including enormous corporations with tens of thousands of employees and a startup with three people. Joshua has found that smaller companies with tightly knit teams allow for the best opportunities to grow and contribute and he feels right at home at Tyrannosaurus Tech.
Video games have always been Joshs passion and served as the catalyst for him wanting to learn how to code. What kid doesnt want to design their own Mario or their own Legend of Zelda? It is this idea that drove him to learn how to code in high school. He started off just coding robots for his school robotics club and wound up studying Computer Engineering at Georgia Tech. Out of college Josh has worked for Target for about three years but was always looking for a new opportunity. When offered the chance to work for TTech under the apprenticeship program he took the plunge and has not looked back. Now as a full-time full-stack and mobile developer Josh works towards the goal of creating projects that people will use and ultimately branch his own understandings of problem-solving and design into new realms. He strives for all of this while still balancing a love of video games.
Santiago Gomez has been in the tech industry for over 10 years. He has experience in many different industries over his career from medical education finance retail and gaming. Hes worked with companies like Coca Cola Delta LGE and many more.
After graduating from the University of Florida with a B.S. in Computer Engineering Elliot moved up to Atlanta to begin working for the Railroad as a Software Engineer. A couple of companies later and founding a software consulting firm Elliot now focuses on emerging technology in software with a niche in Full Stack Javascript. When Elliots not developing code or imagining the next SASS business youll find him reading his kindle or searching for the best pizza place. While Atlanta is his home Elliot is currently traveling full time experiencing cities all over the world on an urban journey.
Born and raised in the coastal city of Barranquilla Colombia Felipe Bruges is a back-end developer with 8 years of experience in software development. Felipe majored in Computer Science and has worked on a number of sophisticated projects that have provided him with a unique and strong dev tool kit. Currently hes focused on building Ruby on Rails web apps and riding his daily 10k on his beloved bike.
