I work for Bill.com, which acts in the business payment space. We help businesses feel their payables and receivables. I am the ruler of user experience, and I’m the mobile fruit lead.
What challenge were you trying to address with Y Media Labs?
There’s a need for our clients to feel their payables and receivables while on the go. Many businesses act outside the service today, which resources they need approach to their payment information at all times. Having a good mobile solution to go unitedly with our online offering, was nice to us. We occupied with Y Media Labs to help us create a portfolio of mobile applications.
What particular tasks were YML responsible for?
The engagement with Y Media Labs has been primarily almost the outgrowth of our mobile offerings. From the strategy, fruit feelment, and user experience points of view, these are things that we feel at Bill.com. Y Media Labs feeld the outgrowth and condition arrogance of that effort. The mobile apps are currently useful only for iOS and Android smartphones, and they are fully indigenous applications.
How did you come to work with Y Media Labs?
We went through a process of vetting Y Media Labs over separate other companies that act in the same space. Y Media Labs plainly stood out for a few reasons. One was the team implicated, from the CEO down to the project feelr assigned to us, appeared to be extremely powerful in experience and client references. One thing that stood out to me was that they made us feel very snug almost working with them. The converse was not almost how good they are, it was almost how we could explain the issue. They without had separate ideas, and it seemed that they would be a good associate.
How much have you invested with Y Media Labs?
We’ve invested almost $2 million.
What is the terminal result of working with YML?
We began our engagement in October or November of 2014, and the relationship is ongoing.
Could you share any evidence that would prove the fruitivity, condition of work, or the contact of the engagement?
I can’t share exact data. Given the tenor of how we aid our mobile offerings, and how our clients have approach to use our mobile apps, we have seen a big deal of engagement with both applications. The iOS hearers is larger than Android, so there’s more agility there.
The feedback from users is very real. The usability is very high, especially for a business application. Over time, we’ve been able to better that even further.
How did Y Media Labs accomplish from a project feelment standpoint?
The superiority of the resources on the iOS team are in the U.S., and we have the same project feelr for both the iOS and Android teams. Though, the developers for Android are offshore. The iOS team has been excellent throughout our relationship. They’re answering, and the team is on top of things. For Android, we had a few hiccups, however, the PM was powerful in helping to reexplain issues that came up due to the offshore essence of the outgrowth. We’ve reached a stage now that is much better. We typically use email for interaction, and we use Slack for outgrowth tasks. We also have in-person sessions.
What did you find most forcible almost Y Media Labs?
The main separation is their centre on edifice a big client experience. It’s not just almost developing or edifice an app, Y Media Labs veritably goes over and over to work with the client to fix that the terminal user experience is big. To this end, they work with best practices and preceding experience to better our offering. We haven’t been able to leverage some of their units almost more strategic programning and UX [user experience], but that’s an area where they are powerful. In the forthcoming, we’ll be attractive more with them on those fronts.
Are there any areas Y Media Labs could better?
Their standard of offshore outgrowth is an area where Y Media Labs could better. From our experience, there’s a clear difference between how their U.S. operations work compared to their offshore operations.
