Ryan has been working in the marketing field for 5 years and during that time has worked with clients ranging from local businesses to international companies. He specializes in digital marketing strategy marketing automation content development and analytics. Using these skills Ryan provides impactful insights that help inform meaningful revenue driven decisions.
In his free time Ryan enjoys playing pretty much any sport spending time with his wife Lauren and their German Shepherd Nova reading hitting the gym and playing the occasional video game.

A former Disney cast member and outdoor enthusiast Emilie brings a vibrancy to the Shift team as our account/project manager. With a degree in Marketing and Sales from Georgia Southern University earned in 2018 she spent a few years in sales before bringing her passion for people and storytelling to Shift.
Between practical experience from the sales world and a bit of hospitality magic from the mouse himself Emilie excels at bringing everything together for our clients on a daily basis.
Outside of the office Emilie is a musician and avid explorer. Whether walking her dog Piper in Greenvilles own Falls Park or planning the next faraway destination adventure is a favorite pastime.

A talented designer with more than 30 websites in his portfolio at SHIFT Gary Upham brings considerable expertise to the broad scope of web-based communications and traditional print projects. Hell on wheels as an aggressive skater in his younger years Gary is an avid hockey player motorcyclist and closet video game nerd. He bleeds Maize and Blue as a Michigan Wolverine and follows all Detroit pro sports teams. Gary graduated from Lander University in 2005 and then obtained his web development credentials at Greenville Technical College which he now serves as a member of the art department advisory board.
His style is exactly right for todays fast-paced digital world: A fresh and fluid filming technique; a concentration on shorter formats; polished editing skills with sleek typography and animation.

Kerstin joined SHIFT in 2015 having earned Master of Arts in Communications from Bob Jones University. A quick learner with a naturally inquisitive mind she is the anchor of our content programs for a variety of clients handling long and short format composition as well as social media planning. A Minnesota native happy to trade off northern winters for southern summers Kerstin brings a delightful perspective to life. Now the proud mother of a future Duke basketball player (18 years hence) she lives a full life in perfect balance.

An accomplished communicator with a graduate degree in Advertising from Boston University Jessica St. Clair Smith designs and produces brilliant short-format videos for virtually every SHIFT client. Each of her 3-minute ’mini-documentaries’ is a window into the unique culture that differentiates every organization. Jessicas talents in videography sound engineering music and animation give SHIFT a powerful in-house platform for effective storytelling. Married to a gifted opera singer Adrian N. Smith Jessica is a dedicated patron of the Arts in the Upstate and Western North Carolina.

A gifted writer and intuitive thinker Mike Harrison brings 30 years of practical marketing experience to the SHIFT team and our clients. Through all the profound changes in the ad business he remains committed to understanding and revealing the soul of every organization we serve. A graduate of Hampden-Sydney College Mike brings a small measure of Virginia polish to our deep-south traditions. Outside the office hes happiest sitting side-by-side with wife Cathy cheering for Clemson the Braves and most of all his soccer prodigies Sam and Kate.
