David began his accounting career in 1997 at a large ASX listed business working in its National finance department; gaining considerable experience in corporate accounting high level board room financial reporting and management.

Since then David has over 14 years of experience in professional practice assisting many medium to large clients involved in a broad range of services and industries.

Davids skill is in structuring corporate groups asset protection Capital Gains Tax (CGT) FBT planning generally and Goods and Services Tax. His speciality has been etched in the ability to provide customised solutions to complex private sector tax related challenges and problems.

David is a member of Chartered Accountants Australia amp; New Zealand a Chartered Tax Advisor with the Taxation Institute of Australia and has been published several times in Australias leading tax journals in areas such as scrip-for-scrip rollover (CGT concessions) GST – Margin scheme family trust loss measures negative gearing amp; imputation credits.

David commenced his career at a suburban firm before joining an internationally affiliated middle tier firm located in the Melbourne CBD. He principally acts in the role of advisor to small medium amp; large businesses at all stages of their life cycle.

David has over a decades experience in all aspects of the public practice profession including taxation amp; business advisory business amp; group structuring superannuation government grants amp; financial modelling.

David regularly presents at various public and private forums amp; seminars across a range of areas including business structuring profitability analysis amp; starting a small business.

He has previously lectured amp; tutored at various Melbourne higher education institutions across the areas of taxation small business amp; computerised accounting.

David is a member of the Chartered Accountants Australia amp; New Zealand and has acted as a CA Program Facilitator and mentor to candidates.
