He has a passion for helping technology businesses build differentiated and authentic brands through simple memorable communications.
Before Comit he was EMEA campaign manager for Oracle. Prior to that he was marketing manager in the data communications and software sectors with exporters Cornel and Software Dimensions. These experiences taught Allan how PR and marketing can combine to deliver exceptional results when focused on clear business growth objectives. The need for Irelands first tech focused PR and marketing communications agency led him to found Comit in 1997. Allan has a degree in business and marketing from University of Limerick and postgrad diplomas in business planning and marketing strategy from DIT and IMI.
When Allan is not working he enjoys family time a weekly game of golf daily early morning swims and holidays in Strandhill. He would love to have played for Sligo Rovers...if only he was any good!
Barrys deep understanding of the Irish technology market exceptional customer service ethos and great media relationships ensures that he consistently delivers exceptional business results for clients. Before joining Comit Barry was an account manager with Oracle working with many high profile corporate clients. He started his career in the publishing industry learning first-hand how the media works. Barry holds a marketing degree from WIT and postgrad diplomas in digital marketing and computer science from IMI and UCC respectively.
Outside of work Barry is most likely to be found on a princess or fairy adventure (he has 3 young daughters!) watching football or socialising with friends and family.
Helen has extensive international journalism digital marketing PR and communications experience. Having started out her career in The Irish Sun Helen worked as Features Writer for five years before moving to Dubai. There she was chief correspondent for a content marketing agency before joining Forbes Middle East as Features Editor.
Helen has an English and History degree from UCD and postgraduate qualification in Journalism from Griffith College Dublin. She has a passion for news media the arts and travel and has travelled across the globe with favourite places including Nepal Russia Sri Lanka and Jordan. If she could sing Helen would be a West End star.
Senior Account Manager
Rebecca has worked in journalism for the last six years and has extensive experience across a number of mediums. Having started out in the digital sphere at Maximum Media she moved into print and creative communications at Harmonia Publishing before joining Comit.
Throughout her career she has worked closely with a vast range of clients to produce engaging marketing and advertorial content across both print and digital including social media. She prides herself on creating campaigns that deliver a brands key messaging. Rebeccas roles have also seen her writing for a variety of publications and audiences.
Rebecca holds a BA in English Literature and Film from Queens University Belfast and an MA in Journalism from Dublin City University. When shes not working or putting the final touches to her debut novel she can be found on the tennis courts or at the cinema.
Account Manager
Luke previously worked with an Australian SME focused on offering innovative communications solutions in remote areas.
Luke holds an MSc. in Public Relations and Strategic Communications from DCU where he critically explored topics such as crisis communication digital communication strategies and PRs contribution to organisational success. He also holds a BA in Communications Studies from DCU.
Outside of work Luke is a self-confessed sports fanatic who plays both football and hurling for his local club in Cork.
Account Manager
With over five years industry experience under his belt Lorcan is energised by brand storytelling copywriting and client management. Lorcan has worked in one of Irelands busiest press offices during his time with Ibec before moving to Denver Colorado where he honed his copywriting skills in the vibrant US advertising industry.
Lorcan joins the Comit team after a stellar 2.5 years with blockchain-centric PR agency Wachsman where he excelled in content creation strategy development and account management. He holds a BSc in Economics and Finance from University College Dublin as well as a Masters in Public Relations and Advertising from Ulster University.
Lorcan enjoys (almost) year-round sea swimming along with yoga running and cycling.
Senior Account Executive
A familiar voice Sarah-Jayne Tobin spent 17 years working as a broadcast journalist. Since graduating from Griffith College Dublin in 2002 with a BA in Journalism and Media Communications she worked her way up from being a runner in the RTE newsroom to news anchor and senior reporter for a number of stations including RTE Radio 1 2fm Newstalk and Today FM. Throughout her career she has developed excellent relations with some of Irelands most esteemed and notable journalists editors and producers.
When she isnt working or catching up on the news Sarah-Jayne enjoys travelling fitness and football. During the Covid-19 lockdown of 2020 she went viral when a video she posted of her son playing football alone in his garden was viewed 10 million times.
Office management and accounts
Debbie looks after the administration and financial side of operations. She keeps us on the straight and narrow. Debbie is a graduate of DIT and has a postgraduate diploma in IT. Previously Debbie worked in Dublin Business Innovation Centre where she worked directly with new emerging technology companies and Allfinanz where she was a web developer. When Debbie is not in the office shes usually looking after children and running the family taxi service to soccer hockey swimming kids parties……
