Web development projects can be a large undertaking for both the development house and the client. To ensure the successful delivery of your project Zest will appoint a senior project manager who will ensure that the three key components of any project scope cost and time are managed in a clear transparent manner that ensure the successful delivery of the project.
Clear communication is key to the success of any project. Zest will establish a clear communication plan that meets the requirements of all stake holders prior to the project beginning.
These can take the form of regular status reports and project meetings for larger pieces of work through to simple email updates on status for smaller discrete projects.
Web development at Zest is strictly quality controlled from start to finish. All code that Zest produces is rigorously tested and checked to ensure that it meets the industry standards for best practice.
A testing process is in place and includes the use of test cases quality assurance testing bug tracking and user acceptance testing (which the client is required to complete). Once the site has passed Zests rigorous QA process and our clients UAT it is then certified to go live and be viewable to the public.
After the site is completed and live Zest will continue its support by staying in regular contact with the client. Through this regular interaction Zest will be able to enter into an open and honest dialogue regarding the sites ongoing performance.
Any suggestions for future enhancement or proactive improvements will be documented and presented to the client for consideration.
We implement Google analytics to track all site access pages visited and goals tracked within the site. This is generally agreed as both Zest and our clients preferred method to track and monitor the output of a sites performance.
After a predetermined period of time the client and Zest can agree to evaluate the performance of the site and determine if it is meeting the clients needs. Based upon the results of this evaluation the client may choose to commission enhancements that introduce new performance related features that may be desirable in the new site.
Zest believes that the ongoing support of any site we build is just as important as the initial development. We ensure that the same highly skilled developers involved in the build of the site are involved in the support of it. Neil is the CEO of Zest IT an Auckland based software development company that has a team of developers experienced with both Open Source and Microsoft solutions.
Neil has extensive experience with the design development and implementation of mission critical database solutions in the Pacific and around the world and is actively involved in the management of all client accounts. He has personally designed many complex database solutions.
Neil has had over 25 years experience in the IT industry and to support his understanding of the IT industry he is also a qualified Chartered Accountant. He was the founder and Managing Director of a successful software development company in Wellington prior to becoming the Managing Director for Zest IT during which time he led development teams to create several niche products that were sold globally.
These included a taxation system for the Inland Revenue departments of developing economies (sold throughout the Pacific and Africa) a Customs system for collecting boarder tariffs a Drivers licence and Motor Vehicle Registration system operational in several countries and an Olympic and Commonwealth Games team management system which has been sold and is operational in over 70 countries.
Neil lives in New Zealand with his young family and enjoys sailing in the waters around Auckland.
