A graduate of New Yorks prestigious Parsons School of Design Karen Cronin began her career in that city at Interiors magazine where she worked under the direction of Colin Forbes at Pentagram and rose to the position of Art Director.
Leaving Interiors Karen moved to Singer Design a small-but-feisty startup ad agency. At Singer Design she worked on projects for an eclectic variety of clients ranging from Bloomingdales to American Express Publishing to Lehman Brothers.
Moving to Nashville in 1993 Karen established Cronin Design a one-woman design business delivering award-winning work for a wide-ranging clientele that included all of Nashvilles major record labels. In 2007 she partnered with her writer husband Peter Cronin to establish Cronin Creative a full-service creative shop serving a diverse and discerning clientele.
Karen currently serves on the board of the Nashville chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) as Communications Chair. She is a former Volunteer of the Year and board member for the Nashville Chapter of the American Marketing Association. She enjoys serving as a judge for the Dove Awards Recorded Music Packaging category and volunteers her time reading to students at Nashvilles Eakin Elementary School.
Rhode Island native Peter Cronin spent the first decade of his career touring with several almost-famous bands. In the late 80s he accepted an editorial position at Musician magazine part of the Billboard family of publications.
In 1993 Billboard moved Peter and his young family to Nashville where he served as Billboards Associate Country Music Editor before leaving to establish the Nashville division of Madonnas Maverick Music Publishing. Peters publishing career continued with stints at Bug Music Publishing and at performing rights organization SESAC.
Clients count on Peters proven ability to understand and clearly communicate both the substance and the subtleties of their business. A current member and volunteer at the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce and former board member for the Nashville chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA Nashville) he moonlights as a songwriter. Peters songs have been recorded by artists including Marty Stuart John Anderson Maura OConnell and Country Music Hall of Fame member Connie Smith.
