Having the right people is a prerequisite for any organizations success. John Galt was founded with the belief that the services offered by existing staffing and consulting providers did not consistently live up to the standards which organizations should expect in an activity which is so critical to their success. Since our founding we have helped thousands of organizations and individuals be successful by developing a clear understanding of their needs at all levels. Understanding technical requirements is necessary to this process but in itself not sufficient. We also focus extensively on the intangibles – culture personality values etc. to ensure that the right person is matched with the right organization.
This same approach has also enabled us to recruit the right people so that we can deliver this level of service to our customers. Our professional staff all share our corporate values of Excellence Humility and Self-Determination. Not surprisingly our Customers tend to share these values with us as well.

We are committed to providing our customers the highest level of service possible and our belief is that the only way to do this is by having the best staff in the industry working with our customers to accomplish their objectives. We execute this vision by identifying and attracting individuals who share our values to join our staff. We then provide them with the best training and development in the industry. Our high performance internal teams then execute on the following strategies to ensure our customers success.
Our recruiters focus their efforts on being the ’go to person’ in specific verticals (positions technologies tools industries). We are not generalists and we will let you know up front if your need is a direct match to one of our verticals a close match or one where we dont have expertise.
We seek out Customers whose technical needs and values align with ours. Our contact with prospective customers is not focused on whether there is an open job today. It is focused on long term needs and priorities and identifying customers who can benefit from a long term relationship with John Galt. We have customers who have been with us since we started 20 years ago and over half our revenue comes from customers who have been doing business with us for seven years or more.
Likewise our recruiters seek out candidates that we will have long term relationships with. We have many candidates who finish one project for us and we are able to move them a new project with one of our other customers. Or someone may finish a project and we maintain contact with them over the years through User Group meetings periodic check ins etc. and we place them in another project years later.
A byproduct of long term relationships as gaining a deeper understanding of both our customers and our candidates. Peoples talent and goals go a lot deeper than the words on a Resume; and customer needs are rarely fully explained in a Job Description. We take the time to gain a deep understanding of both our candidates and our customers and find solutions based on these needs. Occasionally a customers true need is met in a way that is much different than the initial Job Description provided.
Our name John Galt was inspired by the classic Ayn Rand novel Atlas Shrugged. The protagonist in the book John Galt was a larger than life character who was not only a skilled inventor and technologist but who also understood the value of the individual and how character and values are equally important to capabilities. This perspective was consistent with our belief that an individuals technical skills are only a part of the total equation and that the intangibles of culture personality values etc. play a critical part in an individuals ability to contribute to the success of an organization.
