Shiny is a marketing agency that drives its clients business by creating the customer engagement that is necessary to be successful in the ’age of distraction.’ We do this by developing brand experiences that actually move people to action. If a customer cannot easily complete a task or take an action on your site or through other vehicles we cannot achieve success as a team. Ultimately our shared goal is to rise above the noise in the market place and create solutions that shine.
With all of the data available today you would think that it would be easier to solve marketing challenges. But in some ways marketers have become paralyzed by the deluge of data that hits their desks on a daily basis. We leverage analytics and user experience data to uncover patterns that are not obvious to everyone. Translating data into useful insight that leads to the creation of more meaningful interactions between our clients and their customers is what we do everyday.

Shannon co-founded Shiny in 2005 and continues to lead the creative vision as Creative Director shaping creative strategy and working closely with clients.
Previous to Shiny his work has spanned national print and TV campaigns for Ramada Avis Century 21 and Cendant Mortgage. He has also helped pioneer some of the pre amp; post dotcom online display strategies for major brands such as Alaska Airlines Discovery Expedia and Microsoft.
Shannon is also the imagination behind El Diablo Burritos overarching strategy branding and design. With its quirky sensibility post modern style and lively characters El Diablo has become a thriving success and a favorite among locals.

Katy Thorbahn is partner Managing Director at Shiny having joined the business in 2015. Before Shiny Katy spent 15 years at Razorfish in Philadelphia first leading the agencys client engagement team and then taking on full agency management responsibilities. During her time with the business it evolved from being focused on digital media planning and buying to become a full-service digitally centered agency with capabilities across media search analytics creative and strategic development. Clients included Jamp;J University of Delaware Pfizer Medtronic Diabetes Philly.com and AstraZeneca.

John Avondolio joined Shiny in late 2014 as a partner heading up the client engagement department.
Previous to joining Shiny John spent 11 years leading client engagement and strategy at Razorfish in Philadelphia. He has helped to shape digital strategies for national brands including PNC Bank Expedia Dr. Scholls Coppertone Wyeth Pharmaceuticals PC Mag.com and Tamiflu among others. John also led the national marketing and communications for two years at Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.
