Our team of certified business advisors provides highly individualized confidential advising at no charge to NH enterprises. NH SBDC offers over 20 courses online to help entrepreneurs learn about starting and building their businesses. Topics include marketing finance customer service and management. In 2018 individuals took 1347 e-courses and over 14500 courses have been taken since 2008. In addition to our eLearning opportunities NH SBDCs online Resource Center hosts useful business templates articles and links.
Over the past 35 years NH SBDC has advised or trained more than 96000 New Hampshire entrepreneurs helping them to start over 2000 businesses and create more than 7500 jobs..
According to Americas SBDCs economist Dr. James Chrisman after 5 years 80% of SBDC-counseled businesses are still in business compared to the 44% survival rate of non-assisted businesses.
Client companies come from all sectors seeking advice on financing improving operations business sustainability best practices bringing new products to market and where to start in launching a new business or purchasing an existing one. The NH SBDCs services are offered in regional offices and satellite locations by certified business advisors who provide one-on-one long-term management advising to small businesses at no cost to the client. SBDC business advisors are experienced business owners and managers and are certified through the New England SBDC Professional Development Program. We offer free online courses in our e-Learning for Entrepreneurs program resources and tools in our Resource Center and environmental management advising and education through the Business Sustainability Program.
Funded in part through a Cooperative Agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration the NH SBDC is an outreach program of the University of New Hampshire#39;s Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics and a cooperative venture of the U.S. Small Business Administration the State of New Hampshire Department of Business and Economic Affairs the University of New Hampshire and the private sector. A part of 63 SBDC programs nationwide the NH SBDC was fully accredited in 2015 by the Association of Small Business Development Centers.
