[Music] welcome to our weekly digital marketing news update this week theres been news from microsoft tick tock pinterest and more if you enjoy our weekly and daily updates then dont forget to subscribe to our youtube channel like our facebook page and sign up for our newsletter microsoft has recently announced a ton of new updates first theyve announced api support for google ad imports this is going to increase the variety of automation and customation available microsoft has said that it will take the pressure off developers because theyll no longer need to manually build eight features coming soon microsoft will be introducing customer match this will allow advertisers to upload a customer list and then target those users using microsoft search or audience network there will also be a brand new extension type flyer extensions advertisers will be able to use these to attach a flyer to their ads this is designed to drive higher engagement promotion promotion visibility this is an extension type thats unique to microsoft ads they have also updates around responsive ads first they have implemented countdown customizers and these allow advertisers to include countdowns to specific dates in their ad copy as well as this responsive search ads are now the default type for new ads microsoft is driving hard implementing these new features to try and pull advertisers to their platform tiktok has developed a new video scheduling feature that will allow creators and businesses to schedule up to 10 days in advance tiktok acknowledged that marketers and business owners are busy people and they dont want to post they want to post at the best times with this tool they can schedule their posts freeing up more time for other aspects of their business this feature is available on the web upload page once youve scheduled a post it will be visible on the web and app versions to use this tool you must have a business or creator account if you dont already have one head to settings and then to account to update your account type once a post is scheduled you cant make any updates so if you need to change something youll need to delete the scheduled post and recreate it with your changes pinterest has launched a brand new tool to help creators claim their content difficulty with sharing your content online is that sometimes your credit can get lost when its shared across the web your content can then be used in ways you may not be happy with pinterest has designed their content claiming portal to enable creators to have more control over the content on their site this tool will give creators the ability to remove existing and future versions of their content to get started you need to submit an application to the content claiming portal once your application is approved you can start uploading your original content and choosing your enforcement options you can choose mine only which means all posts except for your own will be removed website only which means that only pins linking to your claimed website will be eligible to stay live or block all which means all existing and future versions will be removed the microsoft audience network is introducing new support for facebook campaign imports and video ads facebook campaign imports are currently an open beta for select markets this feature will save advertisers time while also giving the flexibility to edit bids budgets and targeting initially users can only import campaigns on a single image as theres no support for carousel or video ads yet the important process will work exactly the same as google ads import function as well as this the microsoft audience network will now support video ads this is currently undergoing a pilot test in the us but its open beta is coming soon videos can now be up to 120 seconds and all standard video ad formats are accepted lastly the microsoft audience network will be expanding to new markets and it will soon be available in new zealand australia and canada google has pushed the launch of their page experience algorithm from may to mid-june this gives advertisers an extra month to prepare this update this update also includes core web vitals becoming search ranking signals however this wont be fully implemented until the end of august the reason for this slow rollout is so that google can monitor for unexpected issues that may arise google has said there shouldnt be any drastic changes in rankings as this will still only be one of many factors which is taken into consideration google search console now has a page experience report and this will help site owners by giving them additional insights into why they are ranking in certain positions we hope you have a great week and dont forget to like follow and subscribe and well see you on monday for our daily updates
