The Clothing as Conversation research project at Emily Carr University of Art + Design seeks to address the challenges connected to contemporary design, fashion, technology, and sustainability. ED&,I was engaged to develop a communication strategy and design language that could feature their three key research directions, highlight their research methods, and showcase ongoing findings. The identity system applies colour to… signify the three focus areas of the research — material artifacts, conversations, and social construct. Inspired by the research explorations, the logotype represents the morphing, multiplicity, and process of the project. The website showcases the range of activities happening within the Clothings as Conversation research — serving both as a ground for research inquiry and a space for collaborative sharing among students, affiliates, research assistants and research leads.
