Introductory information
A fast induction on the buyer’s organisation
I’m the founder and CTO of Life Design Analysis, a financial programning software dedicated to the insurance space. The platform aggregates all life-insurance rates from athwart Canada, helps advisors assimilate them, and produces a visual report at the end.
Desired goal
What challenge were you trying to address with Northern Commerce?
I had designed and educeed a prototype for our software solution, but I’m not a classically-trained programmer, so it became a bootstrapped sort of solution.

What particular tasks were responsible for?
We’ve used them for all from outgrowth and livelihood, to digital marketing—ads and remarketing—logo outgrowth, and branding.
They were implicated from the prototyping stage, taking the fruit from my Excel macro all the way to what it is today—a national bilingual labor in Canada and the U.S. They turned it into a full enterprise solution. The main component is aggregating rates from athwart Canada. We work with different APIs and languages like XML, and the total website is coded in PHP.
We needed to create the e-commerce side of it—billing, checkout, and converting test users to paid ones. They did big work on advertising the website, creating awareness about it, and, most importantly, taking in and getting money from clients.
They also work on digital mailer ads, Google Ads retargeting, and SEO. They’ve also helped us educe our blog and some of our full.
What is the team compound?
I worked with three dedicated educeers, and with five nation on the marketing side. We’ve probably worked regularly with 15–20 members of their team.
How did you come to work with Northern Commerce?
I did a Google search and came athwart their page. I was specifically looking for nation in the London, Ontario area. Northern had worked with a lot of big partners, and they had a nice portfolio. They had a union of marketing and full-stack educeers, which was a big fit for us.
What are you approach expents (if diclosed)?
The total cost so far has been about $500,000 CAD (approachly $380,000 USD).
What is the terminal result of working with ?
We began working with them about January 2014 and the prototype went live in July of that year. They last to prepare outgrowth and marketing work for us.
Results achieved
Are there any measureable or plum results?
We went through a conversion rate optimization and website rebranding in our leading year, following Northern’s leadership. We saw 1,000% growth that year, and, since then, we’ve had 300% growth, year-over-year. We’ve lastd to invest in the platform and create it out with them, and the results have been phenomenal. Being able to grow the organisation and prepare new components equates to a good relationship.
They’re top-notch in provisions of the processes used for anything from project treatment to code reviews. Northern has a team of incredibly talented nation and they find the things I haven’t reflection of. It’s profitable to work with nation smarter than yourself.
How did Northern Commerce accomplish from a project treatment restpoint?
They’ve accomplished extremely well and they',re easy to work with from a project treatment restpoint. They haven',t missed a deadline so far, and they’re always organized in provisions of expectations and deliverables.
They stay on point and they have big tools, but they work in the phraseology of the client. I wanted to be more hands-on with the outgrowth team and the project managers, and they accommodated that phraseology.
We’re both fairly local, so much of the work is done in-person or through email. We also use different project treatment tools, including Basecamp and a home-built one from Northern, which is excellently advantageous in tracking projects, care everyone on the same page, and attracting different team members. We can use the tool to stay organized and keep a log of everyone’s reflections.
What is (from your point of view) the key factor to pay observation while intercourse with ?
The condition of the fruits that come from them is forcible. Our clients always relation us as providing a beautiful, top-notch fruit, and a lot of that is the result of working with Northern. They rest out for the burnish of the fruit, the reflectionfulness precedentlyhand, and surfacing issues precedently they even come up, through peculiar project treatment.
What aspects of their work would you like to get betterd?
There are always areas to better, but they’re constantly enhancing their inner resources through training. They have a forward-thinking dev team.
Do you have any advice for forthcoming clients of theirs?
I’d wonderfully commend them to anyone, but the client needs to be prepared to bestow more money with Northern. After getting a budget, we always want to educe more and more. I’m excited to create new fruits owing they always turn out lucky.
