Web Development for Wine Retailer

Please find under a summary covering project details and feedback. The innate facts are kept as they are, special information is amended.

Introductory information

A fast induction on the buyer’s organisation

I am the VP of sales and operations of IronGate.Wine. We are a wine retailer, selling wines from special Canadian collections to the US. IronGate Canada has been almost for almost 13 years, and we have been storing investment-grade wines, as well as completesaling wines, to US partners, and into Asia.

We began IronGate.Wine almost a year ago, and launched in the spring. We are now not just completesaling, but are verity retailing wines from the special Canadian collections to US collectors and buyers.

Desired goal

What challenge were you trying to address with SAU/CAL?

We needed to migrate from a platform that we had been on for a month. We were looking to relaunch our website in tandem with what we had going at the time and wanted to do this cost-effectively, making sure that ultimately, we had control over our website in the long run.

Provided solution

What particular tasks were SAU/CAL responsible for?

SAU/CAL primarily did the outgrowth of the website and made technology commendations that would help drive the marketing. They didn’t veritably help on the creative side, as we have our own creative individual that we work with, but did have creative use of technology to help drive the business.

Initially, the leading phase was just replicating what we had in locate at the time and mirroring the website as much as practicable, so that when we cut over, it was a live cut to a website that nation could go and buy from. The website was developed on WordPress, and they integrated WooCommerce. They well over liberateed on that, and our numbers show that. There was an increase in business on our end behind launching with them.

The second phase, which is what we are in currently, is the individualalization including the memberships, individualal pattributeences, and the power to attribute a friend to the website. We are not just a wine retail website, we are working with them on the retention side of things to propose membership to our clients. Whether that is being able to buy wine precedently the general open, or attribute their friends and earn credit on their account. We loftiness ourselves on being a colorless glove concierge-style labor, and it is not just nation simply buying from us and we ship it out. We touch see client and try to create a individualal relationship with them and apprehend them. It goes back to the memberships, and their pattributeences, and we will only tell them what wines they are interested in when they come into stock, and we won’t bombard with a thousand SKU that are useless to that client. It was veritably getting SAU/CAL to create a website and a platform to liberate on that colorless glove concierge-type labor.

Phase three, which we are working towards starting at the end of the year, and commencement of the new year, is veritably adding on top of that functionality, whether it is collective connectivity, internationalization, shipping integration, more of the backend if you will, but not anything that we need without.

What is the team dynamic?

We had almost 10 nation on their team that we have worked with over the past few months, and we have a key point individual that we have been working with on this as well.

How did you come to work with SAU/CAL?

I individualally reached out to a number of individualal touchs to get commendations of firms to look at. SAU/CAL was one of those commendations, and we ended putting out an RFP [Request for Proposal] in provisions of what we were looking for. We had a few firms come back with commendations of what they would do. It veritably came down to cost being a part of it, but more importantly, it was timing. We had a couple of firms that had timelines that were too far out for what we needed to do the cutover.

How much have you invested in them?

Confidential.

What is the terminal result of working with SAU/CAL?

We began working with them in June 2017, and the work is ongoing.

Results achieved

Are there any measureable or plum results?

We saw conversions increase dramatically with almost the same quantity of commerce. I ponder it had to do with a number of factors, and I veritably have it down to the UX as well as the UI. They built a hard website that had fantastic search capabilities. The feedback has been real, and that we have launched a single website that is easy to use, navigate, and buy from.

How did SAU/CAL accomplish from a project treatment standpoint?

They were fantastic. They liberateed the leading aim in time, and have been able to liberate more functionality within the timeframe than they originally aimd. I can’t commend them sufficient.

They were answering. We have an open Slack channel between us, which is always there and on. Obviously, when they are working on other projects there can be a delay, which is more like an hour and not days.

What is (from your point of view) the key factor to pay observation while intercourse with SAU/CAL?

The most forcible thing was how the agile the team was and how fast they were able to liberate on such an excellent fruit.

What aspects of their work would you like to get improved?

Not veritably. They have overaccomplished and overliberateed.
