Some details
Breathtaking in scope, the National Gallery of Canada is Canada’s national art museum. The museum’s permanent collection includes over 93,000 works from European, American, and Asian, Canadian, and indigenous Canadian artists. By exhibition space, the museum is one of the largest art museums in North America.
Working to an 8-month timeline, we collaborated with subject matter experts across the gallery to create
design solutions that met a number of diverse audience needs (from the cultural industry to art historian and researchers). This hands-on engagement followed through the Agile development, and in particular, the integration of the online collection— with +70,000 unique items of work, and millions of curatorial data points.
