A fast induction on the buyer’s organisation
We are the largest online retailer of condition knives in the Benelux [Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg] Union. Our flagship store is named Messenshop, where we sell Victorinox Swiss Army knives, cooking knives, and accessories.
I am one of the founders and the general director of the business. We are a lean organisation in the perception that we use outsourced providers for warehousing, shipping, marketing, and technology. Our inner team is based in Harderwijk.

What challenge were you trying to address with Parrolabs?
Parrolabs was invited to take on separate challenges, including SEO [search engine optimization]. At that time, we were forced by one of our suppliers to give up our primary estate and convey to a new one. Our primary estate already had a 7-year history, and we feared that it would take years to be ranked by Google anew.

What particular tasks were Parrolabs responsible for?
Within 6 months, they helped us transition to the new estate while ensuring that the contact on our business was minimal. They helped us restructure the pages and optimize them for SEO. They also contributed to our inner CMS [full treatment method], which was built years ago by another party using PHP and JavaScript. Parrolabs worked well with this non-standard technology, and they were able to use this with our multiple URLs and estates.
How did you come to work with Parrolabs?
We had a personal junction with them, so we were sure they would liberate. As they were able to propose the same services at a better rate, the choice was easy.
What are you approach expents (if diclosed)?
The initial phase cost us $50,000–$100,000, but we will soon exceed that quantity.
What is the terminal result of working with Parrolabs?
We began connecting with them in soon January as that is traditionally an easier time for e-commerce. The project is ongoing.
Results achieved
Are there any measureable or plum results?
The contact of the estate change on our sales was minimal. For the time of April–July 2017, our sales were down by almost 15% compared to last year. Though, the numbers have improved since then owing of Parrolabs’ optimization work. Sales were up by as much as 28% in August. September is not done yet, but things are looking good. We are expecting an excellent accomplishment in the fall.
How did Parrolabs accomplish from a project treatment standpoint?
They are excellent. We have weekly calls with them, and we use Asana for project treatment.
What is (from your point of view) the key factor to pay observation while intercourse with Parrolabs?
We love working with Herman [Frontend Developer, Parrolabs].
What aspects of their work would you like to get improved?
We sometimes find it hard that they are not in the same time zone. While we suggested that they get an service in Europe, it seems that they are now working exclusively with U.S. clients, making us their only client from the EU [European Union].
