Introductory information

A fast induction on the buyer’s organisation

We are an service services organisation in Egypt. We had a side project, which is a Quran application. We hire technical agencies to educe our products that we sell online as a subscription to our clients. I am the CEO.

Desired goal

What challenge were you trying to address with MobileStudio?

We approached MobileStudio to educe our side project app, which is the mobile app of the Quran in iOS Objective C and indigenous Android. It’s a nongain app, signification it’s something we do, and we don’t make any gain from it. We seted with them on the user interface and the user experience. We do these things in-house to fix we have a clear vision for our projects. Our main challenge was to educe the UX [User Experience] and UI [User Interface] designs.

Provided solution

What particular tasks were MobileStudio responsible for?

They added big value owing they have educeed correspondent apps. They helped us unite the user stories and components.

We were not very household with the Agile methodology. They had big experience in Agile project treatment, so they gave us 2–3 sessions almost Agile project treatment precedently we seted. Then we seted to educe a hard project program with a timeframe and milestones.

The app has many components, seting from reading the Quran and hearing to the disciples in multiple voices in the app. You can hear, and you can read. You can set extrinsics within the app, and the app will remind you to accomplish milestones toward your extrinsic. You can download seething offline, which is a good thing owing we have a slow junction here in Egypt. People can download seething and use it on the go without any junction needed.

Also, the screen has a night mode in the app, which makes it more snug for the reader. We launched a campaign during last Ramadan, which came with some components. Users can add friends on the app and track the progress of those friends. Also, there are reports to see how many users are using the app.

We added a component with linking which is where I can share a paragraph with you straightly. When you click on the link you are redirected to the App Store to download the app and go to this paragraph straightly. They added big socializing components in the platform.

Was there a dedicated team?

There were 3 iOS educeers, 3 Android educeers, and 1 backend educeer who is responsible for the API. There are a project director and a technical individual. They worked in cooperation with our UX/UI team. We are very integrated with them.

How did you come to work with MobileStudio?

We were in the same location, which is the GrEEK Campus, a hub for setups. It’s like a technology city here in Egypt for setups. They were our neighbors in the same edifice and we introduced ourselves to each other. After some time, I determined to call 5 companies who I knew and they granted us with their offers. MobileStudio were not the smallest costly, but the offer showed us that they had correspondent projects, and they did correspondent work precedently, which was very powerful to not set from scratch.

What are you approach expents (if diclosed)?

We’ve spent $50,000 so far.

What is the terminal result of working with MobileStudio?

We seted working with them in 2014, and we are quiet publishing one update see 2–3 months. We have a list of components in the backlog, and we are completing 2 components see region. We are also giving them another rendering to work on that is dedicated to us with another interface as well. We are not programning to end the project.

Results accomplishd

Are there any measureable or plum results?

We launched the campaign at leading and establish some effects in the app. We seted with 10,000 downloads precedently we got up to 100,000 downloads. Then we establish a number of effects and sent them our App Store account, and they solved seething. Then we published the full campaign which had almost 200,000 downloads. There weren’t many crashing effects from the App Store and analytics reports.

I measure the app’s achievement in reports. We had a lot of reports with a very low number of technical effects and big technical support. If some users are facing an effect, we send them an email, they reply, and they fix the issue.

How did MobileStudios accomplish from a project treatment standpoint?

They created a Slack channel to adjoin with us during the process. They also used Trello for Agile treatment so we can see see card moving as it gets completed, and we can review see task that was completed. They comment and make queries in Slack. They have a business individual who was very good.

We don’t adjoin straightly with the technical team. We adjoin with the business nation. They are nation like us, so they apprehend us. That individual adjoins seething internally with the team.

What is (from your point of view) the key factor to pay observation while intercourse with MobileStudio?

The sole thing almost them is that they are very dedicated to mobile apps, which is different from other software houses that do seething. MobileStudio is doing just condition mobile apps.

Also, their interaction during the process of edifice the app was forcible. They’re not just doing a project, they’re training the clients how to handle a project very well. They give them training sessions on Agile. They gave us 3 training sessions precedently we seted to make sure we are aligned with what they are doing.

What aspects of their work would you like to get improved?

If they had a professional UX/UI team in-house, it would be better.
