Tom and Lisa founded 18a productions in 2007 and have since built up a long list of happy clients and great people to work with. Customer service attention to detail and technical expertise are and always have been our core business values and as a result we#39;ve worked with some of our clients for over a decade.
We always meet deadlines we push ourselves to think of the caveats and loop holes that you may not have thought of and we keep your ROI in mind during everything we do.

Whilst we#39;re a technology company we dont baffle you with jargon. Everyone you speak to at 18a can explain things clearly and make sure you understand everything being discussed. Communication is vital in a web project no matter what size and we work hard to make sure everyone is in the loop and understanding each other every step of the way!
Having our web expertise inhouse is very important to us and means our clients can speak directly to the technical people building their site. There are none of the delays or potential miss-understandings that can occur when messages are relayed to other companies or short term contract workers or even non-english speaking developers based in different timezones scattered across the globe. It#39;s this stability and continuity that has resulted in us working for some of our clients ever since the business was founded way back in 2007.
2020 marks Lisa#39;s 18th year of working in the digital sector during which time she has planned and designed easy to use sites apps and systems for clients such as the BBC Sainsbury#39;s and countless tech start ups. Lisa started her career in Brighton working for an online PR company meaning that websites we produce convey exactly what you need them to - and grab attention whilst doing so. When she#39;s not in the office you can find her baking cakes for the various baby groups she attends as the mum of a toddler and a baby.
Tom has a degree in Computing and Information Systems and over 19 years of commercial coding experience building websites applications and tools for government departments and businesses all over the world. It was during his third year at university whilst working in industry that he discovered his passion for the web and hasn#39;t looked back since. Tom is a full stack LAMP developer with extensive experience with a wide range of backend and frontend technologies and brings a depth of knowledge and experience as well as a passion for learning new skills which has always been an essential component to developing the web. As well as technical nous he also has a keen eye for design aesthetics and UX/UI. When he#39;s not building websites you can find Tom nurturing the 18a cider orchard in the beautiful Mendips AONB!
Craig is a WordPress specialist with many years of WordPress development under his belt. Craig has also come from a marketing background so he understands the best ways of how a website should look and feel to maximise ROI. When he#39;s not sifting through plugins or writing PHP you#39;ll find him under a bonnet or roaming the great outdoors.
Jon primarily focuses on front end development at 18a working across WordPress and MVC based projects. He#39;s always got a front-end trick up his sleeve for creating a great effect and ensures mobile experiences are as smooth as those on a desktop. When he#39;s not tinkering with CSS you#39;ll find him taking some rather lovely photos or catching up on the latest block buster.
After gaining a First Class Honours degree in physics Matt moved into web development and the rest as they say is history! With previous experience as a release coordinator working on large scale projects he joined 18a to broaden his skillset and has since turned his hand to front end development and prototyping with great results. When he#39;s not working on API mash ups you#39;ll find newly wed Matt indulging his love of eating out or catching up on the latest football results.
Dean is a developer here at 18a specialising in backend LAMP (Linux Apache MySQL and PHP) development. In true 18a style hes fast thinking and efficient so he can turn around even the most complex requests quickly providing a great ROI. He#39;s also a super keen PC gamer so if you#39;ve ever wanted to know more about MOBA - or even want to know what it is then Dean is the guy to ask about it.
If you have a problem Monk is a great listener! Just explain the issue you#39;re having and by the time you#39;ve finished you might just have the answer you were looking for. It#39;s surprising how saying something out loud can help unravel even the most confusing coding problem.
Ewen joined us in 2017 and his quick thinking and attention to detail means he#39;s fitted right in. Ewen#39;s working towards a BSC in Computer Science but when he#39;s not studying or coding you#39;ll find him on various sports fields.
Sam is our motion graphics video design and animation partner. We#39;ve worked closely with sam at Scruf.tv on a couple of projects and consider him part of the team. His witty and geniunely stunning animations will blow you away.
We#39;re based in Winscombe near Weston-Super-Mare which is just 10 minutes from Bristol airport (BS25). This makes us perfectly located for clients in Bristol and Somerset - but we regularly work with companies all over the world!
