Founder amp; CEO
Dr Gerry ONeill has worked in the HR Industry for over 20 years and is one of the founders of CURO. He has been CEO since February 2012.
Gerry was previously CEO at Vebnet a provider of SaaS based solutions for the management and administration of flexible benefits and online total reward statements. Vebnet was established in July 2000 and quickly became the market leader in this sector and was acquired by Standard Life in October 2008.
Prior to Vebnet he spent 9 years a senior manager at the Royal Bank of Scotland and was responsible for among a number of initiatives including the JV with TESCO Personal Finance and setting up of the UKs first online mortgage origination company which was sold to Bristol amp; West Building Society.
Gerry holds a PhD in Applied Mathematics.
Co-Founder and Senior Consultant
Ruth Thomas is a co-founder and Senior Consultant at CURO. She is recongised industry expert and works closely with our clients to ensure they optimize their reward strategy execution utilizing our best of breed total compensation management tools.
Her interest in technologys ability to transform traditional approaches to reward helps to drive our innovative product strategy. With over 25 years of Global HR and reward management she has international expertise in the management of compensation processes and the design of pay and benefit structures salary progression systems and management incentive plans.
Her corporate experience includes Lloyds TSB Group Price Waterhouse Coopers Dow Jones Group and Credit Suisse.
Head of Professional Services
Lorna Daly is Head of Professional Services at CURO. She is a senior professional with a proven record of results in taking business ideas from inception through launch and into growth in the computer software industry. With over 20 years of Global HR Software and Customer Success experience she has significant experience in managing and guiding customer success initiatives internationally.
Her recognized ability in the development of new international teams projects and strategic planning has allowed her to work with many prospects and clients to ensure they have an exceptional experience during their implementation and gain ongoing ROI from their investments.
Her corporate experience includes Bell Canada Telecom Canada Halogen Software. She has a Bachelor of Commerce from Carleton University and a Bachelor of Education from Ottawa University both in Ottawa Canada.
Chairman
Mark Phillips was appointed Chairman of CUROs board in 2020. He has over 20 years experience in the UK private equity industry predominantly at a senior level as a founding partner of a successful mid-market firm. More recently Mark has been involved as a senior board member with several companies undergoing change with an investment exit goal.
Marks experience has included raising and structuring investment funds sourcing and executing individual investments advising on strategy and driving shareholder value. He has held multiple board level positions including non-executive director and chairman roles across a number of different sectors and company stages.
Non-Executive Director
Angela Williams joined CURO as Non-Executive Director in February 2017. Angela is currently the Chief People Officer at Crossrail previously worked as People Director at British Airways and works as a freelance HR consultant for a range of large corporate clients.
Angela is a very experienced executive in both Global and Group HR Director commercial and operational roles having worked for Sodexo British Gas/Centrica Land Securities The Walt Disney Company BH Blackwell Exxon Mobil and as Chief Operating Officer for internet start-up QXL.ricardo.
Angela has worked as a Non-Executive Director and Chair of Remuneration Committees for over 10 years and has won awards for her work on diversity and inclusion change and transformation and brand impact.
