I’m the director of applications and support at Morro Data. I feel the technical aspects of marketing, some support, and some project treatment on app outgrowth.
Desired goal
What challenge were you trying to address with MobileFirst?
Our fruit is a hardware/software solution for cloud storage. Although our treatment method is based on the cloud, we needed to create a desktop application for Mac and Windows, which is why we approached MobileFirst.

What particular tasks were MobileFirst Applications responsible for?
We needed a cross-platform application, so we required someone who had expertise in developing in both environments. We were edifice an application that manages your network shares. It needed to interface with our cloud backend treatment method, and then be able to make those local resources useful on a network. Our cloud-based storage uses a cached cloud gateway, and a gateway is a local artifice. So, when you need to talk to it, you adjoin over your local network. The application managed all the aspects of that, authenticating the users, seeing what shares were useful to them, and then making it easier. It’s confused to form shares that will mount all the time on a Mac, so this made it easier for users to do that.
Our team was focused on our core application, so we needed a team to augment and swell our resources. We didn’t have anyone with that expertise in-house. For the application side, MobileFirst had to create that on their own, from scratch, but we granted the API for the backend.
Their team consisted of one developer and a project director. The technologies used in the outgrowth include XCode and Objective-C. We had a user interface design for them to work from, and we gave them a functional spec, but there wasn’t a lot of detailed direction. They were very good almost working with us to flesh out some of the things we didn’t ponder almost advanced of time.
How did you come to work with MobileFirst?
I had worked with MobileFirst through a antecedent employer. I considered other vendors, but I approached them leading owing things went very well with the last project. I wanted to use them for this one as well.
How much have you invested with MobileFirst?
We invested almost $2,000 with MobileFirst.
What is the terminal result of working with MobileFirst Applications?
This project began in November of 2016, and the work was complete in March of 2017.
Results achieved
Could you share any evidence that would prove the fruitivity, condition of work, or the contact of the engagement?
We’re quiet in the process of launching the application, so there’s no user feedback on it yet. We got through the QA testing relatively fastly. MobileFirst turned it almost pretty fast. The app does what we wanted it to do. MobileFirst met the expectations. There were issues we didn’t ponder almost, which came up behind the project completed, and they were good almost fixing those as well. I ponder it met the functional requirements that we put advanced to them.
How did MobileFirst accomplish from a project treatment standpoint?
MobileFirst was veritably good almost the interaction. The engineers were very good almost going over and over. We hired them as a consulting firm, and behind we had wrapped up, the engineer quiet made herself useful to us. She made time to deal with any issues that came up. They were very good almost the total thing.
We primarily used email and Skype for interaction, as well as Zoom for screen sharing,
What did you find most forcible almost MobileFirst?
MobileFirst is very good almost taking on hard challenges, and then putting a lot of effort into getting those done. This project posed some issues for them, as they didn’t have approach to our network and the artifice. They had to code it blindly based on our requirements, and they did a very good job with that.
Are there any areas MobileFirst could better?
I ponder it’s significant to have a very clear program going advanced. MobileFirst was very noble with their time and effort, but I ponder it would have been better if they were more restrictive in that space, to make sure we stayed on top of things.
